Tasyurek Takes From Ausmus

In a pot of roughly 8,000 on a board showing 9♣9♥6♠Q♠, the small blind led out for 2,500 and Halil Tasyurek raised to 7,500 in the big blind. Jeremy Ausmus made the call in early position and the small blind got out of the way.

On the 4♦ river Tasyurek checked to Ausmus who took some time before betting 11,800. Tasyurek shrugged before tossing in a chip for the call and Ausmus tabled K♣Q♦ for a pair of queens. Tasyurek had that beat when he rolled over 9♠8♠ for trips to score the pot and leave Ausmus short.

Stoenescu Gets River Value From Marino

John Marino opened to 2,500 from under the gun and Andrei Stoenescu defended the big blind. The A♠K♠4♣ flop was checked by Stoenescu, who then called a bet worth 2,000. They checked the 3♥ on the turn and the 10♠ fell on the river. Stoenescu bet 3,600 and Marino called but placed the chips very close to his opponent, seemingly anticipating to be beat.

Stoenescu revealed A♦4♦ for aces and fours, which indeed won the pot.
