"Bags" Looking to Bag Big
Nível 11
: Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
John "Bags" Bagosy finds himself with one of the bigger stacks in the tournament so far, and he spoke with PokerNews about a big pot that he recently won.
According to Bagosy, he raised to 6,500 preflop from the cutoff. Yuki Sako, the big blind, made the call. The flop came 6♥5x3♥. The big blind bet 45,000, with Bagosy raising all in for 268,000. Sako called, which put him at risk with the shorter stack.
Yuki Sako: AxAx
John Bagosy: A♥4♥
Sako's overpair was ahead, but Bagosy had multiple draws. One of those draws completed when a 2x hit on the turn, giving Bagosy a wheel. Another 2x on the river did not improve Sako's hand, and Bagosy scored the elimination.
