Song Doubles Through Moorman

Nível 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Picking up the action on the flop, Stephen Song in the big blind was involved in a hand with Chris Moorman from early position. With the board reading 682 Song checked and then raised to 10,000 after Moorman bet 4,000. Moorman opted to come back over the top for 18,000 and was called.

Song checked on the Q turn before calling off for his remaining stack when Moorman bet enough to force him all in.

Stephen Song: 66
Chris Moorman: KK

Song had flopped a set to leave Moorman's overpair drawing thin. Nothing changed on the J river to hand Song a full double while leaving Moorman with crumbs.

The Chad & Jesse Poker Show: Josh Arieh Talks Hot 2023 WSOP; David Williams on Bracelet Stolen in Home Robbery

Nível 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

On the latest PokerNews Podcast episode, Chad Holloway and Jesse Fullen continue The Chad & Jesse Poker Show straight from the 2023 World Series of Poker (WSOP).

In the penultimate show of the summer, Chad & Jesse welcome two guests to the show starting with Josh Arieh, who has won two bracelets this summer and was nominated for the Poker Hall of Fame. Arieh talked about the WSOP back in the late 1990s, his career resurgence, Poker Stake, and shares a fun story involving Ted Forrest and the late Layne Flack.

The other guest is 2004 WSOP Main Event runner-up David Williams, who was fresh of winning a Flip & Go. He talks about his history in that event, how his WSOP gold bracelet and diamond toothpick were stolen in a home robbery, and why he wouldn’t do Master Chef again.

Chad and Jesse then do a new "Calling the Clock" segment in which they offer quick two-minute dialogues for topics on “The Board.”

Nível 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Farah Galfond
Farah Galfond

Farah Galfond tapped the table good luck to John Riordan directly on her right, as it appeared they were both all in and she was at risk.

Farah Galfond: AQ
John Riordan: JJ

The flop was no help to Galfond as it spilled out K69, and by the time the 4 peeled she was halfway to putting on her coat, on the verge of collecting her belongings but when the A fell on the river, she was given the opportunity to settle back into her seat.

Blom Bombs; Bonomo Hits The Rail

Nível 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Viktor Blom
Viktor Blom

On a river reading 27646, Viktor Blom bet just over the size of the pot for 8,000 and after mulling it over a bit, David Peters made the call.

Blom promptly flashed king high and Peters tabled AJ for an excellent ace-high call on the river.

Just two tables over, Justin Bonomo was seen leaving the tournament area, as he'd been felted. It's unclear if Bonomo has another entry at his disposal, so only time will tell if he hops back in the field.
