Good Energy For Everyone

Nível 19 : Blinds 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante
Wesley Fei
Wesley Fei

According to Wesley Fei, it's all about skill AND energy. Earlier at the final table he went all in from early position off a decent stack and when everyone folded he showed Q10 and Pete Chen laughed out lout, to which Fei said, "I've bluffed in a $3,000,000 pot, this is nothing!". Chen, perhaps humbled, couldn't help but agree.

His most recent all in was called by Brady Hinnegan and Pete Chen, all Fei could do was remind them about the energy.

Brady Hinnegan: AK
Wesley Fei: 910
Pete Chen: KK

Always a sweat, the dealer presented Q710, despite no one having a diamond, everyone was still live to scoop.

The turn brought the 4 and all the players were up on their feet sweating the river when it rolled off the 2 making it a decidedly chopped pot.

"Energy! Skill is a scam!", exclaimed Fei as he gave his rail high fives and took a picture.

Eric Wasserson Eliminated in 7th Place ($21,880)

Nível 18 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Eric Wasserson
Eric Wasserson

Eric Wasserson lost the bulk of his chips with A9 when he called the all in of Dong Meng, who held 109. Meng flopped a ten and when the turn and river bricked, he doubled through Wasserson.

The very next hand, Wasserson was in the small blind and when it folded to him, he decided to go all in blind, as he was only left with a few hundred thousand in chips. Kevin Eyster made the call in the big.

Eric Wasserson: 94
Kevin Eyster: A5

The flop rolled out AQQ, which was bad news for Wasserson. When the turn peeled the 6 Wasserson was left with no outs as the useless 8 rolled off on the river.

Super Pro Triples Up

Nível 18 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Brady Hinnegan open-shoved from under the gun for around 1,000,000 and action folded around to the resident Super Pro, Wesley Fei, who moved all in for less.

Then big stack Dong Meng made the call to put them at risk and the cards were tabled.

Wesley Fei: AA
Brady Hinnegan: AQ
Dong Meng: AK

"Yes!! I Did it! Super pro! All skill!" Fei jumped up and shouted as the dealer set up the cards.

The flop came out 654 and Eric Wasserson began calling for a seven as a potential back door chop. And just like that, the 7 peeled off on the turn to give all the players an open-ended straight to chop it all.

"Queen river!" Hinnegan shouted, and the dealer must have have been a really good listener as the Q smacked on the river for Hinnegan to stay alive by winning the side pot while Fei got the lion's share of the pot for 2,000,000.

"Well done Wesley, I would have played it the same way," Wasserson joked, which got a round of laughs from the table.

Eyster Takes From Fei

Nível 17 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Wesley Fei raised to 200,000 and was called by Kevin Eyster in the big blind. Heads up, they saw the 4A10 and Fei sized down to 150,000. Eyster made the call.

The turn brought the 10 and both players checked. The river peeled the J and Eyster led for 450,000. Fei made the call. Eyster showed the Q10 for turned trips and Fei tossed his hand into the muck.

Drew Gonzalez Eliminated in 8th Place ($16,790)

Nível 16 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Drew Gonzalez
Drew Gonzalez

After Kevin Eyster opened to 160,000, Drew Gonzalez moved all in for 650,000. The action folded back around to Eyster who thought for a second before making the call to put him at risk.

Drew Gonzalez: JJ
Kevin Eyster: A6

Gonzalez was a favorite to double up in this spot, but the flop of 2A5 provided Eyster with an ace to take the lead.

The runout of 43 gave both players a straight on the river, and the table thought they chopped it, but Eyster held the six for the bigger straight to take the pot, eliminating Gonzalez in 8th place.
