Deeb Takes Another One

Nível 19 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Shaun Deeb opened the action to 24,000 from under the gun and it folded around to a player in the big blind who made the call.

The flop came 1055 and both players checked their options to the 3 turn. The big blind checked again and Deeb tossed out a bet of 20,000. The big blind pondered for a moment, but eventually folded and the pot was sent to Deeb.

Sluzinski Plays to Win but Gets Unlucky

Nível 20 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Jeff Sluzinski
Jeff Sluzinski

Bahar Moussa shoved all-in on the button and Jeff 'Boski' Sluzinski went deep into the tank in the big blind.

"I have a real hand," Sluzinski said, "I play to win. I'm not stalling to cash."

After about two minutes, he made the call for his stack of 150,000, and both hands were tabled.

Bahar Moussa: K2
Jeff Sluzinski: QQ

Sluzinski did indeed have a big hand, the third best starting hand in the deck but the flop of K75 paired Moussa's king to take the lead. The 8 turn and 2 river were no help for Sluzinski, improving Moussa to two pair.

Yamada Scores Knockout

Nível 20 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

Just after the money bubble burst, Kohsuke Yamada moved all in for close to 100,000 from early position and a player next to act made the call for a bit less. The rest of the table got out of the way and the cards were on their backs.

Early Position: K10
Kohsuke Yamada: A9

Yamada was ahead preflop, and when the flop came 985, was still in the lead. The turn changed things when the K rolled off, but when the river fell the A, it was the ace that saved the day for Yamada to win the pot and send his opponent to the payout desk.
