Paul Newman shoved 15,500 in early position and the cutoff pushed his entire stack across the line as well. The action folded to the big blind, who asked for a count. After being told it was 30,500, he thought about it for about a minute before letting his cards go, claiming to have folded Q♦J♦.

Cutoff: 7♥7♦

It was a coinflip as the flop came 10♦6♣2♦, for Newman to take the lead.

"Come on dealer," cried the cutoff.

The board completed with the K♦ turn, and the 3♠ river for Newman to pull in the double-up. Meanwhile, the big blind was kicking himself for folding what would have been a flush.

The flop read Q♦6♥4♦, and Derek Kwan checked to Conrad Simpson who put out a bet of 5,000 into the pot of about 15,000. Derek Kwan check-raised 16,000 and Simpson snap-called.

The 9♥ hit the turn and Kwan instantly fired a bet of 28,000. This time, Simpson took about 15 seconds before making the call.

When the 7♦ completed the board, Kwan shoved his remaining 56,5000 across the line, and Simpson mucked his hand.

"Ah, I was just trying to squeeze the dead money," the big blind said as the cards were turned.

The dealer spread a flop of J♣9♦4♠, giving the big blind an open-ended straight draw.

"Yes! A sweat," Kogel yelled.

The 2♥ turn and 4♥ river changed nothing though, sending Kogel's opponent to the rail.

Wong Hits the Queens

A middle position player raised to 5,000 and a late position player called and the cutoff, Shelok Wong also called. The flop came 3♥5♣Q♠ and the middle position player moved all in for about 25,000 and only Wong called.

The turn was the Q♦ which pretty much sealed the deal and the river was the 9♠. Shelok won with his trip queens.
