Action was opened to 900 by longtime pro Alex Livingston from under the gun. The cutoff, button, and big blind all called.

The 2♠2♦8♦ flop landed and action was checked to Livingston who continued for 1,000. Everyone folded except the cutoff. The turn brought J♥ and Livingston now slowed down and checked. The cutoff checked behind.

The river brought a 10♥ and Livingston put his foot back on the gas and bet 2,500. The cutoff thought it over for a minute and eventually folded. Livingston would scoop a nice pot early on.

Michailidis Wins at Showdown

A player from under the gun limped in and the player next to act bumped it up to 900. It folded around to Dimitrios Michailidis in the big blind who called, and the limper came along as well.

On the flop of 10♠10♦4♦, Michailidis and the under-the-gun player checked to the initial raiser who made it 2,000 to go. Michailidis made the call and the under-the-gun player got out of the way.

The 10♥ hit the turn and both players checked their options to the 6♣ river, where again the action went check-check. Michailidis tabled A♠K♥Q♣6♠ and took the pot with trip tens and ace-king kicker.

Father & Daughter Make the Money of the 2023 WSOP Main Event

One of the most heartwarming storylines of the 2023 World Series of Poker (WSOP) emerged yesterday as the father-daughter duo of Amanda Botfeld and David Botfeld made the money of the $10,000 WSOP Main Event World Championship.

Amanda Botfeld, a poker writer and author of 2020's A Girl's Guide to Poker, announced on Twitter that she and her dad had made it to the money in poker's most prestigious event. The tweet included a photo of the two locked in a loving embrace, no doubt happy to have secured a payday of at least $15,000.

David Botfeld was eliminated later on Day 4, while Amanda Botfeld is still alive on Day 5.

Le Bets Into the Field

Action was opened to 700 from a player in middle positon. The cutoff called, the small blind called, and Tommy Le called in the big blind.

The A♣5♣3♠ flop landed and the small blind checked. Le quickly led out for 3,000. One by one the rest of the table folded.

Le scooped the pot to chip up early.

Le is widely regarded as one of the best live pot-limit Omaha players in the world with over $4,000,000 in live earning and two WSOP bracelets all coming from the great game.

Ulch Takes One Down

The action folded to a player on the button who limped in and Thomas Ulch completed from the small blind. The big blind checked their option and the flop fanned out A♥K♦K♣.

Ulch led out for 500 and only the big blind came along. On the 6♠ turn Ulch kept up the aggression with a bet of 1,500, and his opponent quickly let it go.

Haze Takes an Early Pot From Livingston

The action was picked up in a pot of close to 1,800 on a flop showing 4♣4♦2♦. Scott Haze checked from the big blind to Alex Livingston in the cutoff who bet 700. Haze made the call and the Q♣ hit the turn.

Both players tapped the table and the 3♠ completed the board. Haze took a few seconds before tossing out a bet of 1,400 and Livingston quickly let it go.

Wang Gets Aggressive Early

There was an early position open by PLO specialist Dylan Weisman to 700. The action then folded to Michael Wang in the big blind who defended.

The flop landed 7♦8♣9♣ and action was checked to Weisman who continued for 1,000. Wang went into the tank for a moment before putting in a check-raise to 2,800.

Weisman thought it over but made the fold and Wang scores a small pot early with some well-timed aggression.
