Clark Eliminates Nahm and Vieira

Taylor Clark opened to 3,000 from under the gun and was called by Stephen Nahm in middle position as well as Joao Vieira in the big blind.

Action checked to Nahm following the 8♦7♦10♣ flop and he bet 10,800. Vieira responded by raising to 43,200 only to see Clark reraise enough to force both of his opponents all in. Nahm and Vieira quickly called off for their tournament lives.

It was a fairly even fight with Nahm and Vieira set to split a low should it materialize on the turn or river. That did not happen, however, as the board ran out 8♣Q♦ to improve Clark to a flush and send both of his opponents out of the tournament.

Ramos Turns Up the Heat

In a battle of the blinds, Dylan Linde called in the small blind before Felipe Ramos checked his option in the big blind.

Linde then led out for 1,800 on the 9♠7♣5♣ flop, with Ramos calling to see the 5♥ turn.

Linde slowed down with a check, only to see Ramos fire 4,200. Linde folded as Ramos collected the pot.

Bohlman Extracts Value

Scott Bohlman opened to 3,500 from early position and received calls from John Monnette on the button as well as a player in the big blind.

Action checked through the 5♦A♦8♣ flop to the 7♥ turn at which point the big blind bet out 10,000. Bohlman called while Monnette folded to send the two remaining players to the river.

The 7♠ hit the felt on the river and saw the big blind bet again, this time pushing it up to 25,000. Bohlman counted out a raise to 107,000 which, after some thought, his opponent called. The big blind turned over A♠10♠3♦2♥ but was left with just a quarter of the pot after Bohlman tabled A♥Q♠3♣2♠.

Negreanu Gets It In

In the last hand before the break, Daniel Negreanu bet 32,000 on the A♥5♥8♥ flop and was called by the button.

The 3♣ turn saw Negreanu get the rest of his 43,400 chips into the middle, with his opponent folding after a few minutes of consideration.

"I had it all," said Negreanu as the players discussed their holdings while raking in the chips.

The big blind checked following the 3♠4♠J♦ flop and then called after Obst bet out 4,000.

Both players checked through the J♣ turn to the Q♠ river at which point action again went check-check. Obst turned over A♦K♥K♠5♦, good enough to take down the pot and keep the Australian pro chipping up.

Vitch Sends Guagenti Packing

Nick Guagenti limped from under the gun and then called after Chris Vitch raised to 7,000 from the cutoff.

Guagenti checked on a flop of 2♥6♣K♦, prompting Vitch to continue for 7,000. That bet was called by Guagenti to send action to the turn.

The 5♦ turn saw Guagenti move all in and get snapped off by Vitch, who had the covering stack.

Unfortunately, Guageti's cards were mucked before they could be identified but regardless, his holding came up short against Vitch with the J♥ river completing the board.

Wattel Doubles Through Abrams
