Ausmus Sends Lonis Deep Into the Tank
Jesse Lonis and Jeremy Ausmus were heads-up on a flop of A♣8♥10♣ with a massive pile of chips already in the middle when Ausmus made a pot-sized bet of 250,000.
Lonis immediately tossed in all of his time bank cards as he considered the decision for his tournament life. He spent the next several minutes constantly rechecking his cards and looking over at Ausmus. He showed Q♥J♠10♥10♠ for a set of tens, while Ausmus had A♠10♦9♦8♠ for two pair. The board ran out Q♠5♥ and Lonis breathed a sigh of relief after doubling up for 191,000.
"Did you get slow-rolled over there, Jeremy?" Chance Kornuth yelled over from another table.
"Yeah. Just kidding," Ausmus joked, taking the beat in stride.
"Maybe nit-rolled," Lonis added.
