Kevin Rand’s pocket pair emerged victorious on the first hand at his table after the break.
After action folded to him, Rand called on the button. Bobby Espina, however, raised out of the big blind once the small button folded. Rand promptly called.
The flop produced Q♦10♥5♣ and Espina led out with a bet, which Rand called. The 5♥ hit the turn, and Espina once again bet only to see Rand call to bring the action to the river, which saw 10♣ to double pair the board.
Both players checked their respective options.
“Ace,” Espina said as he tabled A♠3♠.
Rand showed 6♦6♥ to take down the pot.
