Morita Hits the Straight
Nível 12
: Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Pat Landis was under the gun and raised to 8,000 and Mayuko Morita aka MJ called from the big blind.
The flop came out 7♠4♣J♣ and Landis placed a continuation bet of 14,000 and Morita moved all in for 51,500. Landis made the call and the cards were tabled.
Mayuko Morita: 9♠10♠.
Pat Landis: J♣10♣.
Morita was behind but gunning for the straight or the backdoor flush draw and Landis held top pair and the club flush draw.
The turn 8♣ gave more equity to Landis but completed Morita's straight. The river 10♦ changed nothing and Morita doubled.
