Shakerchi Hero-Calls at the Wrong Time

Matthew Ashton raised with the A♥J♥7♠6♦ and Talal Shakerchi three-bet with the A♣K♦5♠3♦ in the small blind. Brian Rast pondered about it with A♠Q♠10♥9♣ in the big blind but folded while Ashton called. On the Q♣7♣6♠ flop, Shakerchi checked and Ashton bet for his fellow countryman to call behind.
The J♦ turn saw Shakerchi check-call a bet and he did so again on the J♣ river, albeit very reluctantly with the ace-king high for a pure bluff catcher. Ashton, however, had jacks full of sixes and scooped the pot.
