Peters was in the lead heading into the flop, but the equity would shift after the dealer rolled out a 3♠2♥4♥ board, giving both players straight outs to chop, but also giving Kornuth an ace-high flush draw.

The J♦ on the turn was good for Peters, but the 3♥ on the river would complete the flush for Kornuth and send high-stakes regular Peters to the payout desk.

Kulev Moves Into Second in Chips After Clashing With Kornuth

Chance Kornuth raised to 800,000 from late position with 10♥7♥ and was called by Alex Kulev in the big blind with A♠8♠.

Kornuth sized up to 1,400,000 on the 8♣9♠4♦ flop with his open-ended straight draw and over card and Kulev made the call with second pair.

The turn 8♦ paired the board and gave Kulev trips, which he chose to lead out on with a bet of 1,000,000, with Kornuth making the call.

Kornuth would miss his draw but pair his ten on the 10♠ river and this time Kulev would size down to 700,000 for his river bet. Kornuth made the quick call to see the bad news and givie up his position as second in chips to Kulev.
