Wagner Leaves Lamb with Short Stack

Mike Wagner bet from under the gun and Ben Lamb made it three bets from the button. Wagner made the call and drew two, Lamb drew one.

After the first draw Wagner check-called another bet from Lamb. This time both players drew one.

Wagner took the initiative and led out with a bet after the second draw. Lamb made the call and drew one while Wagner stood pat.

With no draws remaining Wagner fired one more bet and got a fold from Lamb, leaving him with just under three big bets.

Johansson Soaring

Mike Lang raised from the cutoff and Oscar Johansson three-bet from the small blind. Ren Lin called cold from the big blind and Lang called as well.

Johansson and Lin both drew one, while Lang drew two. All three players then checked.

The same drawing action occurred on the second draw, but this time Johansson led out for a bet. Lin raised and Lang folded. Johansson called.

Johansson stood pat on the final draw and Lin drew one. Both players checked on the end and Lin tabled 8x7x6x4x2x first. However, Johansson had Lin pipped with the 8x7x5x3x2x and he added to his ever growing stack late in Day 1.

Johnson Clashes with Seiver

Marco Johnson bet from the cutoff and received a call from Scott Seiver in the small blind. Both players drew two.

After the first draw Seiver took the initiative with a bet and Johnson made the call. Seiver drew one and Johnson drew two.

Both players drew one. Chung held 6x4x3x2x against Hoffman's 5x4x3x2x. Chung flipped over a 7x, leaving Hoffman drawing to a seven only.

It wasn't meant to be, as Hoffman tabled an Ax and he was sent to the rail.

With no draws remaining Lang bet once more. Lin raised it to two big bets and Lang made the call.

Lin showed 7x6x5x3x2x for the second best possible hand to scoop a nice pot.

A player from under the gun bet and was called by Patrick Leonard in the hijack before Cary Katz raised it to three bets from the cutoff. The under the gun player got out of the way and Leonard called leaving action heads up going into the first draw. Leonard drew one and Katz drew two. Both players checked, and then drew one each.

Leonard check-called a bet from Katz after the second draw and drew one. Katz stood pat.

With no draws left Leonard checked, Katz fired another bet and Leonard conceded the pot to his opponent.
