Heads-up on a flop of Q♦J♦6♣, Chris Vitch bet 5,000 from middle position before Doug Lorgeree raised in the big blind to 13,000.
Vitch called as they saw the 10♦ fall on the turn. Lorgeree fired out another 17,000 and Vitch called once again.
The 9♦ river put four to a straight flush on the board and Lorgeree slowed down and checked. Vitch checked behind and Lorgeree showed A♥Q♣ for top pair. Vitch, though, had K♣Q♠ for a rivered straight to win the pot.
"I folded the ace of diamonds," tablemate Philip Sternheimer said as no one at this table, which also includes Mori Eskandani, admitted to folding the potential straight flush.
