No-Limit Hold 'em

Ryutaro Suzuki raised to 100,000 in the hijack and got three-bet by countryman Tamon Nakamura in the cutoff.

Pedigo Leaves Bruschi With Crumbs

Nível 26 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 0 ante

Limit 2-7 Triple Draw

Picking action up on the first draw, Renan Bruschi drew one from the small blind while Jason Pedigo needed two.

Bruschi bet and got called by Pedigo and each player then drew one.

Bruschi then check-called a bet from Pedigo, leaving himself just a big bet and a half behind.

He still needed one card while Pedigo was now pat, and after Bruschi checked, Pedigo bet.

Bruschi went into the tank for a couple of minutes, as an incorrect call would leave him with just 60,000 chips.

Eventually, he did make that call to see Pedigo turn over a wheel (7x5x4x3x2x) to take the pot and leave Bruschi with just one small bet left.

Per Hildebrand Eliminated in 7th Place ($24,081)

Nível 26 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 0 ante
Per Hildebrand
Per Hildebrand

Stud Hi-Lo

Per Hildebrand: K2/A57Q/10
Tamon Nakamura: QQ/87J10/5
Jason Pedigo: XxXx/2 - folded bring-in

After Per Hildebrand completed Jason Pedigo's bring-in, Tamon Nakamura made it two bets to go. This shed Pedigo, but the short-stacked Hildebrand came along.

Hildebrand bet fourth street and got a call, then after he bet fifth street, Nakamura raised, and Hildebrand called off for his final few chips.

Nakamura was ahead with queens, but Hildebrand had ace-king to try to catch the high, or any low card to chop.

Unfortunately for the Swede, he failed to pair or catch a low card on the final two streets, leaving Nakamura's queens the sole winner in the pot to send Hildebrand home in seventh place.

Chambers Shows the Spade

Nível 26 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 0 ante

Stud Hi-Lo

Walter Chambers: XxXx/10A85
Tamon Nakamura: XxXx/10859 - folded on sixth street
Per Hildebrand: XxXx/7K5 - folded on fifth street

Per Hildebrand completed before Tamon Nakamura raised. Walter Chambers called, as did Hildebrand.

Nakamura bet on fourth street and both opponents called. Chambers opened the betting on fifth and only Nakamura called this time.

Chambers bet again on sixth and Nakamura leaned over the table getting a good look at his board as he tanked for about a minute. Nakamura eventually gathered his cards and sent them into the muck.

"Show one time. It's good for the game," Renan Bruschi told Chambers, who showed the 2.

"Spade and a low," Chambers said.

Steinman Continues to Succeed on the Short Stack

Nível 26 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 0 ante
Ian Steinman
Ian Steinman

No-Limit 2-7 Single Draw

Ian Steinman, who has battled back from as few as 30,000 chips to reach this point of the tournament was again on the short stack, but it continues to not be a problem for him.

In a recent hand of No-Limit 2-7 Single Draw, Steinman moved all in for 385,000 from early position over a 120,000 chip under-the-gun open from Tamon Nakamura.

Each player drew one card and revealed what they were drawing to.

Ian Steinman: 8x5x4x3x/Xx
Tamon Nakamura: 9x7x6x4x/Xx

Nakamura showed his draw first, pairing his 7x, meaning that any card other than an eight would give Steinman the win.

While an Ax wouldn't be great most times in an all-in situation, it certainly was here to give Steinman a double-up.

Pedigo Snaps Off Suzuki

Jason Pedigo
Jason Pedigo

No-Limit 2-7 Single Draw

Jason Pedigo raised to 100,000 from under the gun and Ryutaro Suzuki called in the cutoff. Both players drew one.

Pedigo checked after the draw and Suzuki then announced he was all in. Pedigo snap called for his last 550,000 as Suzuki showed a pair of sevens. Pedigo had 9-8-6-3-2 and doubled up.

A heated debate has arisen at the table about when to take a break. Pedigo argued the break should be now, while Ian Steinman wanted to break in an hour. The tournament floor was called over and it was ruled play will continue until the end of this level.
