Ben Yu bet fifth and sixth street to get calls by Shaun Deeb before Yu then checked seventh. Deeb bet and Yu called but mucked when Deeb rolled over three low cards in the hole for a ten-eight.

Katherine Fleck completed with an ace. Connor Drinan then raised before Andres Korn three bet. Fleck folded, and Drinan came along with a short stack.
Korn bet fourth street and Drinan called. Drinan then put his last bet in on fifth street and Korn called.
Drinan had 4x5x giving him eight-five after his inconsequential 8x final card came. Korn had 2x4x in the hole, but his final card came 6x, allowing him only a ten-six. Drinan pulled in the pot and stayed alive.

"I need a good card now," Ben Lamb announced before the dealer pitched fifth street but he paired up his open seven. Adam Owen had a nine-six showing and bet, forcing a fold from Lamb while Daniel Zack called. Owen then checked sixth street and Zack checked behind before Owen also checked seventh.
Zack bet and won the pot.
After the hand was over, Lamb was asked how he celebrated the previous day after securing his second WSOP gold bracelet.
"Well, I am eating chicken now ... I had some really good wine," Lamb replied.

Down to just 10,000 in chips, Hoyt Corkins was all-in and at risk right away and only looked up by James Obst.
Until fifth street, Corkins had a made queen with an eight draw while Obst had a made ten by then already. Sixth street paired up Corkins as Obst improved to a nine-seven and paired the seven. Corkins still had some outs to survive but the king as his final card was not among them.

Shakerchi completed with a five, only to see Shimizu raise with a seven showing. Shakerchi made the call.
Fourth street saw Shakerchi check-raise and Shimizu call the second bet. Shakerchi then led out on fifth street, with Shimizu coming along.
Shakerchi then checked on sixth street. Shimizu bet, and after a moment Shakerchi threw his cards in.

Takashi Ogura was already all-in and at risk on fifth street against Brad Ruben, who had a made jack while Ogura was ahead with a made made nine. On Sixth street, Ogura improved to the superior eight as Ruben caught up and peeled a deuce as final card. Ruben had some outs to score the knockout but the Qx as his final card was not among them.
