Huge Scoop for Deutsch as He Slow Plays a Set

Nível 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Joel Deutsch raised in late position to 7,000. Raul Torres Jr. in the dealer position decided to three bet to 17,000. With a quick call, both players were headed to a flop.

The flop came A610, as Deutsch elected to check. Taking no time, Torres Jr. bet 35,000. Deutsch would find a call rather quickly leading to the turn.

A brick in the form of the 3 changed little as a second check pushed Torres Jr. to shove all in. Deutsch was quick to call as he flipped over 10x10x having Torres Jr. drawing dead with his AQ. With both monster stacks clashing, Deutsch soared through the chip ranks with a stack now amassing approximately 420,000 and eliminating Torres Jr. from the event.

Bos Calls River Overbet From Jacobson

Nível 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

After a few players folded, Evert Bos raised to 5,000 from middle position. Action folded to former Main Event Champion, Martin Jacobson in the small blind who was the only caller.

They went heads-up to a K88 flop and action checked through.

The 7 turn then checked through and the 3 hit the river.

Jacobson took his time before betting almost double the pot to the tune of 25,000.

Bos didn't look excited while putting in the call but was happy to see that his KJ had Jacobson's K10 pipped by one.

Bos scooped the pot and is up to a healthy stack.

"Do You Even Know Who I Am?" Joked 2022's Mystery Bounty Winner Quincy Borland

Nível 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

With all the faces around at the World Series of Poker it's easy to get caught up in the rush without paying much attention to who you are reporting on. This was definitely the case as Quincy Borland, the prior winner of the Mystery Bounty Event, asked "Do you even know who I am?" Although I did not at the time, other players at the table were quick to inform me that he had a history with this event winning it last year. Borland took down last years event to the tune of $750,120, and is hoping to again make it to day two where the bounties kick in.

Having shoved all in from early position, Borland took down the blinds as he showed JxJx allowing him a free pass for that rounds blinds.

Gurin Fades All the Outs to Double Up

Nível 11 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Early position begins this hand raising to 4,500, letting a couple players get out of the way before a caller joins the fray. Late position raises 15,000, which allowed Sergei Gurin to four bet to 31,000. With the last player getting out of the way, the original better raised to 80,000 putting Gurin at risk of losing his tournament life. Eventually, he made the call flipping over AQ versus the opponents KQ.

However, the flop of 104J, put Gurin as the hands underdog going into the turn. Fortunately for him, the turn came the K giving him the nut straight. The river was also a brick as the 2 peeled off to double Gurin up. With this pot won, Gurin garnered a stack of 134,500.
