Ramos Spikes the River to Secure Double up
Nível 6
: Blinds 400/800, 800 ante
Action began with the under-the-gun player, who raised to 1,600 and received calls from Maria Konnikova in late position, Gabe Ramos in the small blind, and the big blind.
Both blinds checked the J♣2♣5♠ flop and the under-the-gun player bet 2,200. Konnikova folded and Ramos check-raised to 8,000. The big blind folded and the under-the-gun player took a moment before putting in the call.
Ramos went all in for his remaining 30,400 on the 4♥ turn and his opponent called to put Ramos at risk.
Gabe Ramos: 5♣8♣
Under the Gun: A♥J♥
Ramos was behind with his pair and flush draw versus his opponent's top-pair but had many outs. One of those outs came on the 5♥ river and Ramos took down a decent pot with trip fives.
