With these quick eliminations at the start of the day, the field is now down to only seven tables.

Talal Shakerchi raised to 32,000 from the cutoff and Kristen Foxen three-bet to 80,000 from the button. The blinds folded and Shakerchi called.

Raskin Takes Out Chadha

Nível 9 : Blinds 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Micah Raskin had raised to 32,000 from the cutoff and Carlos Chadha pushed his whole stack worth 38,000 forward on the button. Zhuang Raun folded his small blind but Daniel Rezaei made the call from the big blind. Raskin took off his headphones and then asked how much it was for. The table confirmed the amount and Raskin decided to come along.

The flop came down with the 8510. Both Rezaei and Raskin checked to see the J. Rezaei checked again but folded when Raskin bet 50,000 for the cards to go on their backs.

Carlos Chadha: 44
Micah Raskin: KJ

Chadha got up from his chair as his pocket fours were behind against the pair of jacks Raskin had turned.

The river completed the board with the 10 for Raskin to seal the deal to eliminate Chadha.

A few minutes earlier, Aleksejs Ponakovs was eliminated and so was Biao Ding.

When it comes to the World Series of Poker (WSOP), six-time bracelet winner Daniel Negreanu is typically found in bigger buy-in events. He’s among poker’s elite often competing for $25K Fantasy and Player of the Year points, and buy-ins in excess of $10,000 give him the best chance at both, not to mention his first bracelet since 2013.

For instance, he finished 22nd in Event #2: $25,000 High Roller Six-Handed NLH for $50,000, though he failed to bag Day 1 of Event #23: $50,000 High Roller (8-Handed) after firing two bullets.

However, on Wednesday after busting early on Day 2 of Event #16: $25,000 High Roller, “Kid Poker” opted to become a man of the people by hopping into Day 1a of Event #18: $300 Gladiators of Poker, which boasted a $3 million guarantee.
