Nahm Finds The Double

Nível 31 : Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

On a board reading 6J35, Stephen Nahm had been checked to and he went all in for over 2,500,000. Amir Mirrasouli was at a decision and cut out what a call looked like and compared it what he would be left with if he lost the hand. After some more deliberation, he did put in the call and showed he was on a draw.

Stephen Nahm: A6610
Amir Mirrasouli: 348J

Mirrasouli needed to make a straight to putt ahead of Nahm's set, but the river was the 8 and Nahm scooped up a big one just before break.

Peay Has His Stack Back

Nível 31 : Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

Stephen Nahm opened to 450,000 on the button and was called by Amir Mirrasouli in the small blind and Zachary Peay in the big blind.

All three players checked the Q89 flop, with Mirrasouli checking again on the 7 turn. Peay announced a pot-sized bet of 1,550,000 leaving just 100,000 behind. Nahm folded while Mirrasouli raised the last 100,000 and the hands were turned up.

Zachary Peay: 10422
Amir Mirrasouli: QJ75

"I have a flush" said Peay, while Mirrasouli responded that he had two pair and needed to find a full house. The 3 river changed nothing, as Peay earned another double-up.

Peay That Man His Money

Nível 31 : Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

Zachary Peay moved his remaining 900,000 chips into the middle preflop and was only called by Stephen Nahm, who estimated he's had closer to seven or eight beers on Day 3.

Zachary Peay: KQQ7
Stephen Nahm: AK106

The board ran out no help to Nahm and after the 429102 rolled, he said, "Queens are hot!", in reference to Kevin Rand, who also doubled with queens just a couple orbits prior.

Nahm continued to joke, doing his best Russian accent, "Just hanging around...", a quote from the popular poker film, Rounders. The avid jokester did go on to win the next hand he played to recoup some of the losses that had been pushed Peay's way.

Nahm was seen sprinting to the restroom again shortly after these hands.

Keijzer Doubles Up

Nível 31 : Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante
Ronald Keijzer
Ronald Keijzer

Amir Mirrasouli limped from early position and was followed by Zachary Peay and Kevin Rand on the button. Dan Matsuzuki called from the small blind before Ronald Keijzer announced a pot-sized bet of 1,200,000.

Peay was the only caller to the 1096 flop. Keijzer quickly moved all in and was snap-called by Peay as the cards were tabled.

Ronald Keijzer: AK83
Zachary Peay: KQJ10

Keijzer's flush draw was filled immediately on the Q turn, while the 6 completed the board for to take down a massive pot leaving Peay as the short stack.

Gheorghe Butuc Eliminated in 7th Place ($40,923)

Nível 31 : Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante
Gheorghe Butuc
Gheorghe Butuc

Gheorghe Butuc got his remaining 1,350,000 into the middle against Kevin Rand, who covered. When their hands were turned up Stephen Nahm couldn't help but chime in, "It's like a hold'em hand!".

Gheorghe Butuc: AK108
Kevin Rand: QQ1010

Nahm's statement felt accurate when the A33 fanned out and Rand was already calling for a club when the Q peeled, giving Rand a boat, locking up the hand as the 8 fell on the river.

Butuc, obviously deflated, left without saying a word to his tablemates.

Matsuzuki Comes Up Empty

Nível 31 : Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

Dan Matsuzuki opened to 475,000 and received calls from Amir Mirrasouli in the small blind and Zachary Peay in the big blind.

All three players checked the 358 flop before Mirrasouli led out for 700,000 on the 8 turn. Peay and Matsuzuki folded, before the three would tangle again on the very next hand.

Matsuzuki opened again to 475,000 with Mirrasouli calling on the button. Peay then announced pot to 2,100,000, producing folds from Matsuzuki and Mirrasouli to take add to his stack.

Same Same But Different

Nível 30 : Blinds 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante
Kevin Rand
Kevin Rand

With a limp under the gun in front of him, Kevin Rand potted it to 880,000 and it folded to Stephen Nahm, in the blind, who repotted it. When it folded back to Rand he thought a bit and counted how many chips he had left behind. Begrudgingly, he put his chips in the middle and said, "Okay..." When Nahm rolled his hand, Rand was amused saying, "Hey, we have the same hand."

Kevin Rand: AQ74
Stephen Nahm: AQ53

The board came out in favor of Nahm when the dealer spread 1095, pairing one of his danglers. Rand didn't feel much better on the turn, maybe not realizing on the 4 that he had gained at least a couple more outs. When the 4 peeled on the river, it took the dealer's announcement for him to realized he rivered three of a kind.

At this point Dan Matsuzuki chimed in, "Trippin'!" to which Nahm laughed and said, "Trippin' balls!". The ladder is now on his fourth beer and remains jovial. Nahm was seen sprinting back to the table at color up because his tablemates informed him he was in the blind. Beers gotta go somewhere.

Matsuzuki Doesn't Want to See the River

Nível 30 : Blinds 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante

Amir Mirrasouli and Zachary Peay limped from middle position, as did Dan Matsuzuki on the button. Gheorghe Butuc called from the small blind and Ronald Keijzer slid his big blind into the middle to go five-way to the flop.

All five players then checked through the J38 flop, with Butuc and Keijzer checking again on the K turn.

Mirrasouli fired 625,000 and was called by Peay to his left. Matsuzuki then announced pot for a bet of 3,460,000. Mirrasouli and Peay both let their hand go, while Matsuzuki flashed KK for top set to regain his chip advantage.
