Laskowitz Picks Off Mateos For Massive Double

Adrian Mateos three-bet to 240,000 from the small blind and Sam Laskowitz called on the button.

The flop came 7♦A♥10♠ and Mateos continued for 90,000. Laskowitz called to see the J♠ turn.

Mateos slowed down and checked, allowing Laskowitz to bet out 155,000. Mateos called and the 8♣ fell on the river.

Mateos now announced he was all in and Laskowitz immediately shot back in his seat and put his arms on his head as he went into the tank. He eventually committed his last 610,000 as Mateos showed Q♥J♣ for a pair of jacks.

Laskowitz turned over A♦J♥ for two pair to take down the massive pot and double up.

"You can breathe now," one of his supporters said from the rail as Laskowitz waited for the dealer to push him over the big pile of chips.

Lehr Gets There on the River to Bust Bonomo

With around 300,000 already in the middle in a blind versus blind pot, Justin Bonomo bet 200,000 on a board of 6♦8♠2♥7♥ before Keith Lehr raised enough to put him all in.

Bonomo began shuffling his time bank chips before letting out a sigh and calling for around 350,000 more. He showed K♦8♦ for top pair, while Lehr had Q♥8♥ for a pair and flush draw.

The A♥ river completed Lehr's flush and rocketed him up past 3,000,000.

"Good luck, Keith," Bonomo told him on his way to the payout desk.

"Thanks. It was nice playing with you," Lehr replied.

Lamb Slaughtered by Schutten

Ben Lamb moved all in for around 350,000 from the cutoff as action folded to Brek Schutten in the big blind, who called to put Lamb at risk.

Lamb had a drink delivered just as the dealer was about to turn over the cards. "If I win this hand, I'll give you some change," Lamb told the server as the flop came 5♦8♠6♣.

Lamb didn't receive any help on the K♥ turn or 9♣ river and was sent to the rail.

World Series of Poker Addresses Solver Concerns, Clarifies RTA Policy

In light of debate over the threat that real-time assistance (RTA) apps pose to live poker, World Series of Poker (WSOP) officials reiterated their rules for use of solvers at the poker table.

Players at the 2023 WSOP will be penalized if they are caught using or referencing a solver during a live hand. Additionally, the WSOP reserves the right to issue penalties to players who are using solvers between hands.

"If caught using RTA/GTO software during a hand, player will be subject to penalty up to and including DQ (disqualification) / trespass," WSOP said in a prepared statement. "We reserve the right to further penalize a player for using RTA/GTO in any other situation in our sole and absolute discretion. Players may continue to use their device to play wsop.com or use the Caesars Sportsbook app while in/out of a hand."

Justin Saliba had whittled down to less a big blind and was forced all in as Ren Lin came over to give him a good luck pat on the back. Sam Soverel limped in from the button and Lin called the small blind as the flop came 5♠4♦7♠.

Lin checked, then folded when Soverel bet 20,000.

The 8♦ on the turn gave Soverel a pair of eights, and Saliba didn't catch any help on the 4♥ river and was eliminated as the unfortunate bubble boy.

Riordan's Queens Run Into Katz' Kings
