Nível 11 : Blinds 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

Brek Schutten raised to 35,000 from early position before Daniel Negreanu, in the cutoff, three-bet to 130,000. Matthew Fields called in the big blind, while Schutten got out of the way.

The flop came 10A4 and Negreanu continued for 80,000. Fields quickly called and checked the A turn.

Negreanu bet another 200,000, Fields moved all in for around 350,000, and Negreanu snap-called with AK for trip aces.

"Motherf**ker," Fields said as he showed AQ. The river came the 5 and Fields was sent to the rail.

"Sorry buddy. Nothing you can do once the ace comes," Negreanu told him.

"I almost didn't play it," Fields replied on his way to the exit.

Winter Calls Out Rezaei's Hand; Other Pre-Break Chip Counts

Nível 10 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Daniel Rezaei began the day as chip leader but had been knocked down to just 40,000 when he moved all in from under the gun. Action folded to Sean Winter in the big blind.

"Let's see if I can beat king-five," Winter said as he looked at his hand. "No. I'm going to fold," he added as he mucked J5.

"That's so f**king spooky," Rezaei said as, sure enough, he did flip over Kx5x.

"He's done that to me so many times," tablemate Dan Colpoys added.

Riordan Doubles Up With the Computer Hand

Nível 10 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

John Riordan was all in for 105,000 on a board of Q7AJ4 against Andrew Lichtenberger. When asked their holdings, Lichtenberger said he had A9.

"Hah, I had the computer hand, Q7." said Riordan. The computer hand's flopped two pair was good enough to beat Lichtenberger's pair of aces and double up Riordan.

Lin Claims to Make a Tight Fold

Nível 10 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Mitchell Halverson three-bet to 85,000 out of the small blind and Ren Lin called in the hijack.

The flop came Q63 and Halverson continued for 97,000. Lin quickly called as the 7 fell on the turn. Halverson this time moved all in for 281,000.

"Ace-king," Lin asked as he mucked. "Ay, ay, ay, show one time," he added as Halverson returned his cards face down to the dealer.

"Ace-queen right in the muck. What a tight player," tablemate Justin Saliba said to Lin after the hand.

"I folded ace-queen. I folded the best hand," Lin replied as he began slapping his hand.

Wolff, with around 350,000 behind, went through three time bank cards before letting out a deep sigh and folding.

Sam Soverel: 1010
Espen Jorstad: AQ

Soverel was racing for his tournament life and remained in front on the 24468 board to double through the Main Event champion.

Wolff later admitted he would've been second best. "I beat his hand," he told Soverel, saying he would've beaten Jorstad.

Lichtenberger checked again when the K hit the turn, leading Laskowitz to bet 53,000, eliciting a call from Lichtenberger.

The 5 came on the river. Lichtenberger checked to Laskowitz, who bet 140,000, then cinched his brown hoodie and burrowed deep inside. Lichtenberger gave the bet a long consideration from inside his orange hoodie before mucking.

D'Ambrosio Holds on to Double Off Schutten

Nível 10 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Brek Schutten raised to 25,000 from the button and Daniel Negreanu called in the small blind. Jimmy D'Ambrosio, from the big blind, then moved all in for around 105,000, Schutten reraised, and Negreanu got out of the way.

"Protection," D'Ambrosio said as he turned over A8. Schutten had KQ and needed to improve to secure the knockout but found no help on the 103357 board as D'Ambrosio doubled up.
