Costa Grabs Pot with Flush

Nível 20 : Blinds 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Adrian Mateos opened in middle position, and was called by Ruben Costa, who had position on Mateos.

The dealer placed 445 on the board, which both players checked. The turn produced 7, drawing checks once again from the two opponents.

But the river brought some action when 10 appeared. Mateos checked, only to watch Costa bet 75,000. Mateos took a moment to study the board before making the call, and then finding out Costa held KQ for a rivered flush, which prompted Mateos to muck his hand.

Nível 20 : Blinds 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

David Uvaydov scored a double for 144,000 with A8 versus ace-king when he spiked the inferior kicker on a board of 87594. "What do you mean, I had nine blinds ... I am done with the all-ins, I promise," he mentioned in the table chat.

In the meanwhile, Mike Sowers won a healthy pot off Romel Mendoza on a board of J32KJ to see the latter muck what appeared to be AxQx when Sowers tabled the K10 on a checked through river.

Another Knockout for Brenes

"Wow, you had so many outs to dodge ... ace ... seven ... jack," another player remarked as the chips were sent over to Humberto Brenes. He still had his KK exposed while the cards of Manuel Machado were already in the muck. On a board of Q108Q6, the pocket pair prevailed as Brenes notched up yet another knockout for the day.

Dinesh Alt’s hot run hit an roadblock in Level 19.

PokerNews walked up to Alt’s table as the dealer was counting out Andres Korn’s stack, who was all in and called by Alt.

The board was obscured with chips, but Alt explained the action to PokerNews that there was an open raise, two flats, and then it was on Alt, who moved all-in with AQ before being called by Korn, who held 7x7x.

Korn further explained to PokerNews that the player to his right opened, he flatted, a player to his left flatted before Korn shoved. Of the three players, Korn was the only to call and put his remaining 437,000 at risk against the chip leader.

But Korn won the race, as Alt couldn’t improve his hand.

“You can’t win every hand,” a player was overhead jokingly saying to Alt, who appeared to take the loss in stride.
