Action folded to Devon Garbus in middle position who opened to 25,000. The action folded all the way around to the big blind who defended. The players were off to a flop heads up.
The A♣K♥5♣ flop landed and the big blind checked. Garbus gathered a bet of 35,000 and put it in the middle. The big blind came along with a call.
The 2♥ turn hit the felt and the big blind checked again. Garbus sized up this time and put out a wager of 55,000. The big blind called again.
The river was the J♠ and the big blind checked once more. Garbus did some accounting and saw that the big blind had him covered. He took his time before announcing 'all in' and sending in his remaining chips.
The big blind did not snap call but after a moment of thinking they called off and the cards hit their back.
Garbus tabled A♦5♦ for a flopped two pair and the big blind tabled A♠8♥ for a flopped top pair. Garbus dragged the pot and survived the bubble.

All remaining players will receive at least $480, although players still have time to build up a stack to attempt to bag and advance to Day 2.

Action folded all the way back to the original raiser who quickly called, and the two players tabled their hands.

There was a limp in middle position and action folded all the way to Patrick Leonard in the small blind who flat called. The big blind was Rich Reussow who also made the call and the players went to a flop three ways.
The 10♠7♥10♦ flop hit the felt and Leonard immediately led out for 15,000. Reussow took his time and eventually raised to 45,000. The action was then back on middle position who seemed to have a tough decision. Eventually they found a fold. Leonard didn't take long before releasing his hand and Reussow dragged the pot.
PokerNews caught up with Reussow who gave them the downlow on what his holding was. "I had K♦7♦ in the blinds so I was betting a seven since I couldn't put him on a ten."
The aggression paid off and Reussow gets a great bet through against one of the games greats.
