"Home Game Hero" Pederson Doubles Off Burnside

Arne Pederson called a bet from Kyle Burnside on a flop of 6♣9♠8♥ as the K♥ fell on the turn.

Pederson now led out, then called a raise by Burnside. The river came the K♠ and Pederson put in his last chips as Burnside called.

Pederson turned over A♣2♥A♥6♦ and Burnside tossed his cards into the muck in frustration.

"Where am I going," Pederson asked Burnside as he collected the pot.

"You were going nowhere. I was unlucky not to chop," Burnside replied.

"Home game hero," Ryan Scully said as he wandered over from another table to congratulate Pederson on the double up.

Thorpe and Battenfield Go to Battle and Split the Spoils

Mike Thorpe raised from under the gun and got only one call in Christopher Battenfield from the big blind, with both taking a flop of 7♠8♥5♦.

Battenfield checked to Thorpe, who continued with a bet. Battenfield decided on a call to see the J♣ fall on the turn.

Battenfield check-called a bet from Thorpe again and watched as the A♦ hit the river.

Once more, Battenfield checked, Thorpe bet, and Battenfield called before turning up the K♣6♥5♣2♠, which was good for the low to split the pot versus the A♠A♥Q♥3♠ of Thorpe.

Scully Pays Off Vidal

The table has spent a good part of the last level ribbing James Obst over the famous hand in which he folded a full house against Michael Ruane's straight flush in the 2016 Main Event.

"Is that really your claim to fame? Folding a full house to a straight flush," Mike Thorpe asked Obst, who could only smile.

"Let's bring it up right now. Put it up on the screen. We don't need the clock," another tablemate said.

"Guy comes all the way from Australia to enjoy a nice, quiet game of Omaha 8 and gets sat at this table," another added.

At the same time, Ben Vidal raised from early position, and Ryan Scully called in the big blind.

The flop came 9♣6♦Q♦, and Scully led out with a bet. Vidal called, then called again on the 2♠ turn.

"What are you working on," Scully asked.

"Not much right now," Vidal replied as they saw the 2♣ river. Scully checked over to Vidal, who put in a bet.

"You are the fishiest fish ever," Scully said before calling. Vidal turned over A♦2♦5♥10♦ for trip deuces as he took the pot.

Perry Wins A Big One, Moves Over 1,500,000

Patrick Stacey raised in middle position only to see a three-bet come from Erik Perry on the button. Stacey called and the two saw a flop of 7♥A♠2♥.

Stacey check-called a flop bet from Perry and the two were off to a 9♣ turn card.

Stacey checked again to see Perry toss out a bet which Stacey quickly called, prompting the dealer to put the J♥ out on the river.

Both players checked to showdown and Perry quickly turned up the A♣7♦2♦2♣ for bottom set, causing Stacey to toss his cards toward the muck as Perry wins a big one and moves up to 1,500,000 in chips.

Vitch Takes Three Quarters Off Varnado

Three-handed on a board of 4♦2♣10♣8♥, Chris Vitch bet from early position before Eric Varnado raised on the button. Israel Garcia folded the big blind, but Vitch called.

The river came the 5♠ and Vitch tossed in his last chips. Varnado called with A♦3♥7♣2♦, while Vitch had A♣8♣3♠5♣. Vitch won the high pot, while they split the low.

"Another couple of those and you'll stick around for awhile," Arne Pederson told Vitch following the hand.

Joe Ford was all in from the button before the flop as Benjamin Gold and Ismael Bojang built a side pot.

The flop came 6♠4♣Q♣ and Ford led out with a bet. Bojang raised all in and Gold called.

The board ran out 8♠9♥ and Gold took the high pot with two pair, while Bojang had the low.

"Nice hand. Happy to split," Gold told Bojang as they chopped up Ford's stack, sending him to the rail.

Scully Scoops Vidal

On a board of 3♣9♦8♠J♠, Ryan Scully led out first to act and was called by Benjamin Vidal to see the J♣ river.

Scully led out again and again, Vidal came along with a call, quickly prompting Scully to turn up his cards and say, "Scoop!"

Vidal conceded and tossed his cards in the muck as the deals collected the pot to send in Scully's direction.

Ryan Caskey was all in by the turn on a board of 6♦9♠2♣K♥ and up against Kevin Petersen and Jason Remshardt.

Petersen and Remshardt both checked the 4♥ river as Petersen showed K♦4♦A♣10♣ for kings and fours. Remshardt had 7♥3♥ for a low, but Caskey turned over K♣K♠A♥5♦ for a set and kings and low to scoop the pot and triple up.

"Welcome back. That's almost an average stack," tablemate Erik Perry told Caskey after the hand.

Ono Takes One Off Kelley

Action folded to Tomomitsu Ono on the button who raised into the blinds, getting called by Brian Kelley in the big blind to see a flop of K♣K♥7♠.

Both players checked through to the 9♠ turn card, on which, both players again checked through to a river card of the K♦.

Ono check-called a bet from Kelley with Kelley showing the A♥A♣10♠2♣, prompting a quick fold from Ono as the dealer pulled in the cards and awarded the pot to Kelley.
