Micon Ousts Oliveira

Bryan Micon raised from under the gun and saw Marco Oliveira call for less, putting his tournament life at risk. The big blind player called Micon's raise as well and three players saw a flop of 10J5.

The big blind check-called a bet from Micon, creating a side pot and prompting the dealer to put the 10 out on the turn.

The big blind checked then folded to a bet from Micon and the remaining players turned their cards up with one card to come.

With no chance at a qualifying low, Oliveira needed the only nine left in the deck as Micon had the other in his hand. The river ran out with the 3 bringing an official end to Oliveira's tournament.

Hess Gets Quartered; Left on Fumes

Eric Hess limped under the gun before seeing Abdullah Al-Shanti come in for a raise from the cutoff. The big blind called, as did Hess and three players headed to a flop of 542.

Action checked to Al-Shanti who continued with a bet and got called by both opponents to see the 2 land on the turn. Action checked to Al-Shanti once again who bet leading to a call from the big blind.

Hess decided it was time to raise for the rest of his chips and did just that, putting himself at risk. Al-Shanti decided to raise again himself and forced out the player in the big blind leading to a showdown with one card to come.

The A river card filled up Al-Shanti, locking up the high while he and Hess shared the same low, giving Al-Shanti three-quarters of the pot and leaving Hess to collect the remainder.

Ho Sent Out By Doshi

John Ho and Paresh Doshi were heads-up on a board of A84J6 when Ho got his last chips in. Doshi had him at risk with 254A.

Ho turned over KA35 for top pair and a low, but Doshi's two pair and five-deuce low were in the lead as Ho headed for the exit, bringing the field down below 200 players.

Cutri Checks Dark, Takes Three Quarters Off Ono

Jojo Cutri raised from early position before Tomomitsu Ono three-bet in the cutoff. Cutri called once action folded back to him.

Cutri checked dark as the flop came Q510. Ono tossed out a bet and Cutri called.

"Check again," Cutri said as he tapped the felt before the turn. Ono bet on the 7 and Cutri called.

Both players checked the 6 river and Cutri showed 524A for a pair of fives and a low. Ono had K42A for the same low as Cutri took the high, while they split the low.

Scott Fitzhugh raised from the button and Federico Ottenio called in the small blind.

The flop came 1092 and Fitzhugh continued with a bet. Ottenio called and both players checked the 5 turn.

The Q fell on the river and Ottenio checked over to Fitzhugh, then folded to a bet as Fitzhugh approached 300,000 with that pot.

Hill Sends Phillips to the Rail

Action folded to Paul Phillips in the small blind who came in for a raise. Robert Hill three-bet from the big blind and Phillips called off the remainder of his short stack.

Trerotola Scoops a Four-Way Pot

Four-handed on a board of K8710, a player in the big blind bet and was called by Michael Russell and Joseph Trerotola in the hijack, while David Williams got out of the way.

The river came the 5 and action checked to Trerotola, who fired out a bet. The big blind called, while Russell folded.

"Straight with an ace-six," Trerotola said, turning over A699 for the high and the low and scooping the pot.

Koppel Casts a Line And Lands Karp for the Scoop

Warren Karp raised in late position and got called by Jared Koppel in the small blind and the player in the big blind leading to a 893 flop.

Action checked to Karp who continued with a bet that only Koppel called, prompting the dealer to burn and turn the A. Koppel opted to lead into Karp, who called and headed to the 4 on the river.

Koppel led with a bet into Karp once more and again received a call before both players tabled their hands with the AK52 scooping the pot versus the AAJ5 of Karp.
