Deeb Off to Another Tournament

Nível 11 : Blinds 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

The action folded around to Nick Schulman in the small blind who ripped all in. Shaun Deeb allowed him to sweat his cards from the big blind and then called off his stack of less than 100,000.

Shaun Deeb: K9
Nick Schulman: AK

The flop came AK10 to give Schulman two pair and a dominating lead. The 2 on the turn left Deeb drawing dead to the A on the river.

"Congrats on the O-8 bracelet," Eric Wasserson shouted as Deeb ran across the room to another tournament.

Chris Moneymaker had the Bluff of the Century in 2003. This past week, Doug Polk had perhaps the Failed Bluff of the Century.

On Sunday, heads-up for a bracelet, Polk bluffed off a significant portion of his stack at the 2023 World Series of Poker (WSOP) less than one week after his infamous bluff attempt that didn't get through on Hustler Casino Live's $1 million game.

In both instances, the Upswing Poker founder had a busted draw and attempted to use aggression to coerce his opponents into folding somewhat marginal holdings in massive pots. Both times, however, his efforts were unsuccessful and quite costly.

Rast Wins with a Couple of Big Bets

Nível 10 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Brian Rast opened to 28,000 in early position and was called by Michael Jozoff in the cutoff. They went heads-up to a flop of A85 and both players checked to the A on the turn.
