Big blind Boris Berthomet spent several minutes contemplating the 1,000,000 all in of small blind Nikolaos Angelou. An incorrect call would endanger his tournament life. "Aces, kings, queens, jacks..." he muttered while staring at the 9♦8♦10♠2♠9♣ board.
Eventually the floor was called, and after the final thirty seconds were counted down, Berthomet called. Angelou showed Q♥7♦ for a missed straight draw he had turned into a bluff. Berthomet breathed a sigh of relief and showed his hero call, 10♥8♠, his turned two pair corrupted on the river, but still good for the knockout.
