The early position player opened to 4,000 and was called by the hijack. Yuval Bronshtein also defended his big blind.

The flop and turn checked through to the river for the final board to show J10787.

Bronshtein then moved all in for 18,000 and received two folds.

"What a way to win," laughed Bronstein as he tabled his 54 for just five-high.

Nível 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Wayne Nowak opened to 3,200 from the hijack and the recent $25K High Roller 6-Handed bracelet winner Alexandre Vuilleumier called from the cutoff. The big blind then squeezed to 15,000 and only Nowak called.

Nowak called bets of 9,000 and 15,000 on the flop and turn for the final board to read 4321010. The river was checked.

The big blind turned over AK for ace-high while Nowak had the winner with a pair of fours as he held the A4.

"Very sticky Wayne," said the big blind. "Back to square one," he added.

More Pre-Break Eliminations; Geilich Downed by Bad Beat

Nível 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

High-profile names continue to drop from the field, with the likes of European crushers Nicolas Vayssieres and Norbert Szecsi finding themselves on the wrong side of the rail.

Also eliminated was the once big-stacked Ludovic Geilich. A former tablemate told PokerNews that Geilich was eliminated after getting in his stack preflop with pocket queens and was ahead of his opponent's pocket jacks. However, a jack on the river confirmed his exit.

Jacks For Josephy

Nível 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Cliff Josephy
Cliff Josephy

Cliff Josephy raised to 2,800 under the gun, middle position called, and the button called as well.

Three ways to the Q54 and all competitors checked. The turn brought the 7 and Josephy checked again. The player in middle position bet 5,000 and the button folded. Josephy made the call. The river was the 4, making it so that either player just needed a single diamond to make a flush.

Josephy checked a last time and the player in middle position checked as well.

Shrugging, Josephy turned up JJ and as his opponent went to fold he said, "Face down, yea... no slow play here."

Middle position faked to turn up a flush, but didn't have the hand to do it. Josephy is now amongst the chip leaders.
