Jeremy Eyer in Pole Position to Win First Bracelet; Bronshtein and Lonis in The Hunt

Can Yuval Bronshtein Win His Third WSOP Bracelet?
Can Yuval Bronshtein Win His Third WSOP Bracelet?

Welcome to the third and final day of Event #12: $5,000 No Limit Hold'em Freezout. The initial field of 735 players has dwindled down to just 16 hopefuls — of which Jeremy Eyer holds the chip lead after bagging 4,420,000 last night.

Eyer will face some stiff competition as many seasoned pros are also in the hunt. Among them are GG Poker Team Pro Felipe Ramos (4,155,000), two-time bracelet winner Yuval Bronshtein (1,355,000), and Jesse Lonis (2,335,000), who in the past year has won both a WSOP bracelet and more recently, the 2023 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure $10,200 Warm-up for a cool $367,400.

Also still in contention are Christina Gollins (2,965,000) and former pro StarCraft player turned poker pro Jinho Hong (1,280,000).

Gollins made a few deep runs in last year's WSOP, including a third-place finish in the Ladies Championship for $73,604, while Hong won the Poker Hall of Fame Bounty Event for $276,067 and his first bracelet last year.

Cards will be back in the air at 2 p.m. local time and play will begin on Level 26, which features 40,000/80,000 blinds with a 80,000 big blind ante. Levels will last 60 minutes and players will have a 15-minute break after every two levels. Any extended breaks for dinner will be determined by the players and tournament staff.

Should the tournament final table be chosen for streaming, live reporting will resume on a delay so as to not spoil the live stream.
