De Ja Vu or Something Like That

Nível 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

A rather good natured table waved down PokerNews to let us know about a humorous situation.

Timothy Vu, who hadn't looked at his hand yet, was in the big blind. The table already had a comradery going and Vu let everyone know, that if they raised his big blind, he would remember. He challenged anyone to raise his big blind and see what happened.

The table gave him the respect he demanded and when he got a walk... he turned his hand over to see he had the AA.

He sure showed them!

Boynton Cracks Kings for Double Up

Nível 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Robert Boynton secured chips in the early moments of Level 9.

Boynton and a player in early position clashed before the flop, which saw a series of raises between the two before Boynton moved all in for 64,000, which the early-position player quickly called.

Boynton: 1010
Opponent: KK

The opponent’s kings were well ahead before the flop and after the flop when the dealer placed 988 on the board. Boynton even stood to gather his belongings, appearing resigned to his fate.

The turn, however, energized Boynton when 10 appeared on the board to give him a full house. With 7 on the river, Boynton was safe to sit down while the dealer pushed the pot to his seat.

Twilligear Improves to Trips for the Double

Nível 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Four players saw a flop of 743, creating a pot of roughly 13,000. The action checked to the button who fired out a bet of 7,000 and Mark Twilligear check-raised all-in for 20,400.

The under-the-gun player eventually made the call and both other opponents tossed their cards into the muck.

Mark Twilligear: J3
Under-The-Gun: K8

Both players had flopped a flush draw, but Twilligear was ahead with his pair of threes. The 3 turn improved him to trip threes and the 9 river was a brick, sealing his double up.

Two Pair for Himebaugh

Nível 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Steven Himebaugh raised to 3,000 in middle position and was called by Craig Varnell next to act, as well as the button and big blind.

The dealer fanned a flop of AJ6 and all four players quickly checked to see the 8 on the turn.

The big blind checked, and Himebaugh put out a bet of 7,000, which only the button called.

The Q landed on the river and both remaining players checked. Himebaugh tabled A8 for two pair, and his opponent tossed his cards into the muck.
