Speranza on Twenty Blinds

Nível 21 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Jonathan Woof made it 40,000 to go in the hijack and was called by Gianluca Speranza. The {k-Clubs}{6-Spades}{4-Spades} flop was checked by the Italian, who then faced a bet worth 55,000 by Woof. That was enough to win the pot uncontested and Speranza dropped to 20 big blinds as a result.

The Bucket Is Back

Yuliyan Kolev raised from under the gun and then called a three-bet by Robert Cowen on the button. They headed to the {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{3-Hearts} flop on which Kolev check-folded to a bet worth 90,000.

"I don't blame you, he has a bucket on his head," Ali Eslami chimed in towards Kolev.

"Is it the same one?" Cowen asked, referring to the KFC bucket that Kolev was wearing en route to winning his second gold bracelet earlier this year.

Once Kolev nodded, Carlos Loving added "we are in trouble".

After nearly eight weeks of non stop poker action, the 2022 World Series of Poker in its new home at Bally’s and Paris Las Vegas will draw to a close today. So far, 88 gold bracelets have been awarded during the first stop on the new location on the Las Vegas Strip and the last winner of the series will be crowned today. Out of a field of 470 entries, sixteen players remain in Event #89: Tournament of Champions.

The final tournament on the schedule, replaces the former invitation-only Global Casino Championship, was only available to ring event winners of the 2021/2022 WSOP Circuit and WSOP bracelet winners of the current summer in "Sin City" with more than three quarters of the eligible players entering the fray. The biggest portion of the $1,000,000 guaranteed prize pool in the restricted freeroll will be awarded today.

Canada's Jonathan Woof will return to the two Horseshoe Feature tables with a stack of 2,190,000 and leads four further finalists with a seven-figure stack including Carlos Loving (1,800,000), Robert Cowen (1,685,000), and Benjamin Kaupp (1,250,000).

All of them have more than 50 big blinds at their disposal for the restart at 11 a.m. local time. The top ten also features two further 2022 WSOP bracelet winners in Yuliyan Kolev and Ali Eslami.

All finalists have already locked up $7,400 as a boost for their bankroll, while the winner walks away with the top prize of $250,000 and the WSOP gold bracelet.

The final day of the inaugural Tournament of Champions and the 2022 WSOP at Bally's and Paris Las Vegas will recommence at 11 a.m. local time with Level 21, which features blinds of 10,000/20,000 and a big blind ante of 20,000. Once the field has reached the final five or six contenders, the action will also be picked up by the PokerGO live stream on the Mothership with the broadcast tentatively getting underway as of 4 p.m. local time.

Stay tuned for the conclusion of the 2022 WSOP as the PokerNews live reporting team will be in the Bally's Event Center until the last gold bracelet has been awarded.
