Levy's Superior Pocket Pair Eliminates Chilaud

Nível 24 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Maxime Chilaud had gotten his stack of approximately 1,400,000 in preflop, Tzur Levy had gotten his stack of 2,160,000 in as well, and another player who had 375,000 chips committed to the pot folded.

Maxime Chilaud: {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}
Tzur Levy: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}

The board ran out {a-Spades}{7-Spades}{3-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds} to keep Levy's cowboys in front, while Chilaud made his way to the payout desk.

Cooler for Allen

Nível 24 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Jack Allen
Jack Allen

Jack Allen opened to 100,000 with {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} from the buttton before Robert Welch three-bet to 325,000 from the small blind with his {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}. Allen snap-jammed as the covering stack which sent Welch and his 1,580,000 stack into the tank. He made the call.

It was a classic situation and Welch looked to be the favorite following the {j-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} flop. The {3-Diamonds} turn was a scare card but the {7-Clubs} river meant the queens stayed best.

Knee Bows Out to Reed

Nível 24 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Bruce Knee
Bruce Knee

Action panned to the secondary feature table with Bruce Knee all-in at risk with {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades} from the big blind. The {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} flop meant his opponent, Robert Reed, was in front as he had flopped top two pair with his {j-Spades}{10-Spades}.

The {10-Clubs} turn took the wind out of Knee's sails and would mark his exit. Following the {9-Clubs} river, the 3,825,000 pot was sent in Reed's direction.

Kogel Pips Nyuli to the Rail

Nível 24 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

It only took a couple of preflop raises for the chips to get in the middle between Tibor Nyuli and Nathanael Kogel. Nyuli was the player at risk for just over 1,000,000 chips and the cards were tabled.

Tibor Nyuli: {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}
Nathanael Kogel: {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}

Not only did Kogel have the better of the two pocket pairs, but he also had the suits covered. The board ran out {9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{k-Spades} and Kogel held on to eliminate Nyuli.

Tabor Lays It Down

Nível 24 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Charles Tabor opened to 110,000 from late position and was called by Michael Duek on the button as well as Antoine Labat out of the big blind.

The flop came {5-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{3-Clubs} and Labat checked. Tabor continued for 150,000, getting a fold from Duek but a call from Labat.

Action checked through the {4-Clubs} turn to the {j-Spades} river where Labat took over the betting lead, firing off 325,000. Tabor took his time making a decision but ultimately released his cards to send the pot Labat's direction.
