Jeremy Wien opened under the gun and it folded to the big blind who three-bet for 70,000. Wien shoved all in, putting his opponent at risk for a stack around 200,000 and after a few minutes, the latter folded, revealing .
After an open on the button, Elliot Smith in the small blind then three- bet to 50,000, but then Gavin Munroe in the big blind decided to raise the price of poker and shipped it all in, covering Smith.
After the rest of the table got out of the way, Smith went deep into the tank.
"Shouldn't have three-bet light," Munroe told him.
"I'm not exactly light," Smith replied and Munroe just shrugged.
After a lengthy session in his head, Smith open- folded and Munroe was nice enough to show him .
Michael Gonzalez opened to 13,000 on the button and faced a three-bet to 40,000 from Rintaro Kagawa out of the small blind. Gonzalez called to send the two players to the flop.
Kagawa continued for 45,000 on a flop of and Gonzalez called.
The turn saw Kagawa bet again, this time a chunkier 100,000. Again, Gonzalez called.
Kagawa slowed down after the board pairing river, checking to Gonzalez who moved all in for around 150,000. Kagawa went into the tank for several minutes but ended up folding. Gonzalez proceeded to show the table for the missed flush and straight draws, much to the chagrin of Kagawa.
On a completed board of with some 130,000 in the middle, Mikolaj Zawadzki checked his option in the big blind. Mitchell Halverson then bet 150,000 for more than the pot to send his opponent into the tank.
Eventually, Zawadzki folded with a sigh and Halverson raked in the pot.
Jay Dragland opened from early position and faced a three-bet by Rintaro Kagawa in middle position. Action folded back around to Dragland who opted to four-bet. That did not dissuade Kagawa who responded with a five-bet to 240,000. Dragland then moved all-in, sending Kagawa into the tank. Several minutes passed with a small crowd gathering around the table to watch the proceedings. Eventually Kagawa reluctantly folded, showing . Dragland was kind enough to reveal he had held , meaning that, close to the bubble, Kagawa had made a huge and correct laydown.
The very next hand Dragland opened from under the gun and continued on the flop but received no callers. He turned over to the amazement of the rest of the table.
Brandon Lulov was spotted with a big stack. According to the table, he was down to as low as 21,000 earlier in the day and has enjoyed one massive chip up since.
Damian Salas opened from under the gun for 12,000. Action folded all the way around to the big blind, who put in the call.
The pair checked through the flop leading to the turn. The big blind took the initiative on this street, firing for 14,000. Salas thought for a minute or so before putting in a call with a good deal of hesitation.
On the river, the big blind checked to Salas, who fired 44,000 into the middle, sending his opponent into the tank for several minutes. He eventually folded, tossing his cards haphazardly towards the dealer, where they landed face up, exposing for two pair. Salas gently pushed his cards into the muck, scooping the pot without a showdown.
