Wong Spins it Up

Nível 10 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Jerry Wong
Jerry Wong

Action picked up in a three-way pot with Jerry Wong all in for a few big blinds. He'd have to beat both Shaun Deeb and Mikita Badziakouski to stay alive.

The flop showed {q-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{a-Spades} and Badziakouski checked from the blinds and Deeb checked the button.

On the turn {9-Clubs}, both players checked once again.

On the river {j-Clubs}, Badziakouski checked and Deeb put out a bet of 52,000 which caused Badziakouski to fold.

Wong stood up expecting to be beat when he flipped his {k-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}, Deeb only had {k-Clubs}{5-Clubs} himself, though, and Wong survived.

On the very next hand, Wong got it all in again from early position, now with 75,000 in his stack. Action folded all the way to Alexandros Theologis in the big blind who thought for about 30 seconds before making the call.

Alexandros Theologis: {k-Clubs}{9-Spades}
Jerry Wong: {a-Spades}{8-Diamonds}

"What a slow roll," needled Shaun Deeb.

The flop came {k-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{5-Hearts} and had Wong in trouble.

"A six would be a good sweat," said Wong.

The {8-Clubs} is all he would get, adding a couple of more outs.

The {8-Spades} was one of those out and Wong doubled up his recently tripled stack.

"Did it the hard way," said another tablemate.
