Diep's Two Pair Beats Gamble's Mythical Quads

Nível 17 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

A turn board of {5-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} saw a capped bet from the three remaining players, including Nathan Gamble, with one all-in.

"I have quads," Gamble warned his opponent, Wayne Diep

On the river {k-Clubs} however, Gamble and Diep both went check, check.

Diep tabled {a-}{q-}{5-}{2-} for a two-pair high which seemed to beat Gamble's alleged quads as he and the all-in player instantly mucked.

Fox Knocks Out Hart

Nível 17 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

There was some confusion whether or not a check had taken place prior to the {q-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{7-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{a-Spades} river on which George Fox bet out of the blinds. Tal Hart had fewer than a full bet behind and sigh-called all-in.

Fox rolled over the {k-Spades}{q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{7-Spades} for broadway and Hart studied his cards carefully before he tossed them into the muck. "I had two pair and nut heart," he admitted in table chat before heading out of the tournament area.

Fuchs Folds; Lives Chops, & Whitaker Among the Early Day 2 Casualties

Nível 17 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

Carol Fuchs was in the big blind and defended against an open raise and a call. On the {q-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} flop, Fuchs check-called and then check-folded the {8-Hearts} turn when Brian Lives bet again and Sirous Baghchehsaraie called. After the {2-Diamonds} river, Lives check-called the all-in of his table neighbor and they chopped it with {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} (Aces-up) versus {a-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{3-Spades} (nut low).

One hand later, Jeffrey Whitaker was all-in from the cutoff and earned calls on the button and big blind. The big blind got it in after the {7-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{5-Clubs} flop and was called by Michael Chow.

Jeffrey Whitaker: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{5-Spades} (one pair and straight draw)
Big blind: {a-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{2-Spades} (bigger pair, flopped nut low with straight draw)
Michael Chow: {k-Clubs}{7-Spades}{6-Spades}{4-Clubs} (flopped flush)

The {10-Hearts} turn and {j-Spades} river were already meaningless as Whitaker's elimination was confirmed on the turn, while the big blind escaped for half the pot with the nut low.

Ronconi Eliminated in Three-Way Pot

Nível 17 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

Darryl Ronconi was all-in preflop and received two callers in Benjamin Lazer and Tom Franklin. It was Lazer who check-called on the {k-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} flop and {4-Spades} turn before leading the {a-Diamonds} river. Franklin called with the {a-Spades}{10-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{3-Clubs} for the nut low while Lazer showed the {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} for a flush.

Ronconi only had {a-Clubs}{10-Spades}{8-Clubs}{2-Clubs} for two pair and was sent to the rail.

Mizrachi Wins Low, Splits with Dominquez

Nível 17 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

With 20,000 in the pot preflop, Robert Mizrachi on the cutoff went heads up against Eduardo Dominguez in the big blind.

The flop came down {5-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} and Dominguez bet. Mizrachi raised and got the call.

A {3-Hearts} showed up on the turn and Dominguez checked to Mizrachi who also checked.

The river was a {4-Hearts} which Dominguez then again checked. Mizrachi bet and received a call. Cards went up and had Dominguez winning the high with {3-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{j-Spades}{j-Clubs} (set of Jacks) and Mizrachi the low with {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{3-Spades} (7-5 low). They split the pot.
