Assorted Counts After the Bubble

Nível 20 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante

Filippi Leads the Way; Shack-Harris Bows Out

Nível 20 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante
Brandon Shack-Harris
Brandon Shack-Harris

In a hand that took place right before the break, Brandon Shack-Harris was spotted on his way to the rail. Down to the last 6,000 chips and forced all-in from the big blind, he was up against the Casey Schams in the small blind.

The cards of Shack-Harris were already mucked as Schams had an unbeatable hand. On a board of {j-Spades}{10-Spades}{9-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}, the {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}{9-Spades}{3-Hearts} of Schams had rivered a straight flush. Despite picking up the pot, Schams is one of the shortest stacks in the room while his table neighbour Amnon Filippi is the current chip leader.

Double Elimination on the Bubble

Nível 19 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

As hand for hand played out to determine the bubble, Eric Kent was forced all in on his big blind and received one caller, James van Alstyne. Another all in at the same time from across the room caused play to be stopped while the floor tallied up each players chips.

Play resumed and cards were flipped:

Eric Kent: {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}
James van Alstyne: {a-Spades}{j-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{3-Spades}

The board ran out {a-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} and van Alstyne scooped the pot and sent Kent to the rails.

The player from across the room who also exited the tournament at the same time was Ruiko Mamiya.

Radin Chops on the Bubble

Nível 19 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

There were a total of three all-in and call on the bubble and the first showdown to run involved Brett Radin and Murilo Figueredo with the former as the player at risk for a mere 21,000.

Brett Radin: {a-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}
Murilo Figueredo: {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{4-Hearts}

Radin was freerolling for the entire pot on the {8-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} flop but had to settle for a chop after the {6-Spades} turn and {2-Clubs} river.

Couden Gets a Sucker Punch Runout

Nível 19 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

Only a few spots away from the money bubble, a short stack that had just been moved into the seat of Glen Munro was all-in with the {a-Spades}{5-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}. He was up against Joey Couden with the {10-Spades}{9-Hearts}{7-Spades}{x-Spades} and miles ahead after the {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{8-Diamonds} flop. However, the {4-Hearts} turn and {j-Clubs} river gave Couden a straight and the knockout.

After the hand was over, the dealers were instructed to pause the action as the tournament reached the money bubble.

Lynn Chops With O'Dell

Nível 19 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

Frankie O'Dell raised and Jonathan Lynn defended the big blind as they headed to the {j-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} flop, on which Lynn check-called a bet. Lynn bet the {3-Hearts} turn for O'Dell to call and the {2-Spades} river was checked.

Lynn tabled the {j-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} for two pair and O'Dell earned the low pot with {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{5-Spades}.

Saechao Gets Shorter Close to the Bubble

Nível 19 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

With plenty of chips already in the middle to the {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{10-Spades}{q-Hearts} turn, Kao "Flexx" Saechao bet and had two green T-25,000 chips in the middle. However, he then faced the raise by Israel Garcia and went into a short tank. Saechao eventually conceded the pots with a "aces no good?!" without showing his cards.

Likewise, Garcia just tossed 'em towards the muck before collecting the chips.

Butler and David Take Another Pot to the Chopping Block

Nível 19 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

On a three way flop of {6-Spades}{j-Spades}{5-Diamonds} Jesse David in the small blind bet, followed by a fold from the middle position and a call from Brandon Butler on the button.

A turn {k-Clubs} led to another bet from David and a call from Butler.

The river came the {3-Spades} and both players checked.

Butler showed {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{2-Hearts} for the nut low and David tabled {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{4-Spades}{6-Diamonds} for one pair to take the high.
