Kabbaj's Luck Nearly Expires in Big Clash With Franklin

Nível 8 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Heads-up to the {a-Hearts}{6-Spades}{4-Clubs}{8-Clubs} turn, John Kabbaj bet the pot for more than 91,000 and that sent Ryan Franklin into the tank. He then pushed all-in for 120,000 and Kabbaj called to create a large pot.

Ryan Franklin: {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{9-Hearts}{7-Clubs}
John Kabbaj: {7-Spades}{6-Hearts}{5-Spades}{3-Hearts}

The {4-Hearts} on the river paired up Franklin and he scored a large double while Cody Rich jumped out of his seat in disgust, apparently saying he had pocket fours.

"There is an expiration date for luck," Dominykas Karmazinas chimed in with regards to Kabbaj, who was sent back to the drawing board.

Mahmood Scores a Knockout

Nível 8 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Heads-up to the {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{4-Hearts} turn, Ayaz Mahmood looked up a shorter stack and went into the showdown with {j-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} for a full house. He only needed to dodge two kings when the opponent flashed the {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}{k-Clubs}{x-}.

The cherry on top followed with the {j-Spades} river as the dealer added with a very dry voice" just quads" before pushing over the chips to Mahmood.

Karadas Gets Some Chips Back

Nível 8 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

After the {9-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} turn had gone check, check, Konstantin Beylin also checked the {10-Spades} on the river while in the small blind. Tarkan Karadas bet 12,000 into a pot of around 35,000 from one seat over and Beylin mulled it over before he came along.

Karadas revealed the {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}{8-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} for a set of nines and that won the pot as Beylin mucked his cards. "The first pot I won in ages," Karadas bemoaned in table chat while he raked in the pot.

Cheong Chips Up Further

Nível 8 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

On the tail end of a heads-up pot involving Joseph Cheong, the latter bet the {q-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} river for 18,000. His sole remaining opponent went into the tank and folded while Cheong then exposed his {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} for a flush.

"Oh, I thought he called, Cheong said while glancing up from his massage before he grabbed the chips and added them to the growing tower.

Negreanu Eliminated by Valden in Huge Pot

Nível 8 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Daniel Negreanu's seat was recently seen empty, with confirmation coming from his former tablemates that he busted in a huge pot with Robert Valden.

As told by the table, Valden raised to 2,000 under the gun and was called by Negreanu to his immediate left, David "ODB" Baker in the small blind, and the player in the big blind.

On a {k-}{j-}{8-} rainbow flop, action was checked to Valden who bet 5,000. Negreanu then raised to 20,000 and the blinds folded.

Valden then made it 69,000 and Negreanu went all in for approximately 130,000. Valden called to put Negreanu at risk.

Valden had {k-}{k-}{10-}{2-}, while Negreanu had {a-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}. The turn and river came {q-}{q-}, ending Negreanu's night with a set-over-set cooler.

Laplante Bounces Back With a Triple Up

Nível 8 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Following an open raise to 2,500 and two calls, Ryan Laplante moved all-in for the last 13,900 and then saw two bigger stacks behind get their chips in. While everything was happening, Igor Zektser joked around what a setup hand it was as the cards had been turned over while Zak Laikin claimed Zektser would be "labeled as the other player in the hand".

Laplante and his {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{7-Spades}{5-Diamonds} were up against the {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{7-Clubs} of Michael Duek and {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}{9-Spades}{9-Clubs}. The {a-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{4-Spades} board instantly provided aces full and Laplante leaped back into contention while Duek felted the other player.

Bohlman Chips Back Up

Nível 8 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Eric Lescot raised to 3,000 in the cutoff and was called by Scott Bohlman on the button and Tong Li in the big blind. The {j-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{8-Diamonds} flop was checked by all and Li check-folded the {4-Hearts} turn when Lescot bet and Bohlman called.

After the {6-Clubs} river, both checked and Lescot tabled the {a-Spades}{k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{j-Spades} for a pair of kings. Bohlman had that beat with the {a-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{7-Clubs} for two pair and won the pot.
