Massive Four-Way All In Sees Wong and Fox Collect Bounties

Nível 17 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Jerry Wong
Jerry Wong

All the cards were on their backs as four players, including Jerry Wong, Elio Fox, and Daniel Rezaei, were all in, Fox with the largest stack.

The board read {7-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{10-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} and Wong showed {q-Diamonds}{q-Spades}. Fox had {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts} on the button, the small blind {k-Spades}{q-Hearts}, and Rezaei {a-Spades}{j-Spades} in the big blind.

Wong had around 140,000 left and collected Rezaei's bounty while doubling through Fox, while Fox got the bounty of the big blind.

"I was excited before you went all in," Fox told Wong after the hand.

"I was excited before YOU went all in," Wong added with some emphasis.

Chidwick Ousts Schulman

Nível 14 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante
Stephen Chidwick
Stephen Chidwick

Stephen Chidwick opened to 10,000 from under the gun and Nick Schulman moved all in from one seat over. Action folded back around to Chidwick who made the call with the bigger stack to put Schulman at risk.

Nick Schulman: {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}
Stephen Chidwick: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}

Chidwick had Schulman dominated and looked set to scoop the pot and bounty. The {7-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{a-Clubs} flop left Schulman drawing extremely thin with his elimination confirmed on the {3-Diamonds} turn. The {5-Diamonds} river completed the board as Schulman tapped the table before making his exit.

Watson Outraces Negreanu

Nível 11 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Mike Watson
Mike Watson

Daniel Negreanu opened to 4,500 from early position and action folded around to Mike Watson in the small blind who moved all in. Negreanu got out his recording stick, which he says is sturdier than the one that took a beating during the $250,000 Super High Roller last week, and began to film as he made the call, saying "We're going bounty hunting".

Mike Watson: {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}
Daniel Negreanu: {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}

The two respected poker pros were locked in an even race but Watson took a massive lead on the {q-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{4-Clubs} flop. The {8-Spades} turn and {3-Diamonds} river changed nothing, sending the pot Watson's way and continuing Negreanu's 2022 WSOP woes.

Smiljkovic Scores Triple Knockout

Nível 6 : 400/800, 800 ante
Daniel Smiljkovic
Daniel Smiljkovic

A player in early position opened to 1,800 and was called by the player one seat over. The cutoff player then moved all in for 12,100 and Daniel Smiljkovic in the big blind called. The initial raiser, after some thought, re-jammed and the player one seat over with a "I shouldn't do this" made the call. Smiljkovic responded by pushing his chips into the middle with the covering stack to set up a four-way all in.

Cutoff Player: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}
Early Position Player: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}
Middle Position Player: {a-Clubs}{8-Clubs}
Daniel Smiljkovic: {j-Clubs}{j-Spades}

With his opponents all blocking each other to an extent, Smiljkovic had the most equity heading to the flop. The flop came {6-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} giving the middle position player, who by his own admission had made a light call, the nut flush draw and the best opportunity to take down a huge pot. The {5-Hearts} turn changed nothing, with the middle position player asking "for a club, one time". His one time was used in vain, however, as the {10-Hearts} river completed the board, propelling Smiljkovic into what is likely the chiplead as well as sending three $3,000 bounty chips his direction, meaning that, in the event that he does not cash, he will still only take a small loss on his initial investment. Smiljkovic is on something of a heater after final tabling the Wynn Summer Classic $3,500 NLH Championship earlier this week.

Saout Collects Schutten's Bounty

Nível 2 : 200/300, 300 ante
Brek Schutten
Brek Schutten

Brek Schutten was facing a raise to 15,000 from Antoine Saout on a flop of {9-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} before he moved all in for his last 33,000. Saout snap-called.

Schutten showed {j-Hearts}{j-Spades} and needed to hold up against Saout's {a-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} for a flush draw. The {k-Clubs} on the turn was safe, but the {k-Diamonds} on the river completed Saout's flush and sent Schutten to the rail early on Day 1.

Cheong Left Short

Nível 2 : 200/300, 300 ante
Joseph Cheong
Joseph Cheong

Picking up the action on the turn, Joseph Cheong out of the small blind was involved in a pot with a player in early position. With the board reading {q-Clubs}{k-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}, both players were all in with Cheong having the covering stack.

Early Position Player: {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}
Joseph Cheong: {2-Spades}{2-Hearts}

The flop had contained something of a cooler and Cheong looked set to become a big stack early in the day. It was not to be, however, as the {q-Spades} rolled off on the river, giving Cheong's opponent the superior full house and the pot.
