Lo Has Hellmuth Steaming

Nível 32 : 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante

Phil Hellmuth raised to 600,000 from the cutoff as Jeffrey Lo came along from the big blind.

The flop came {6-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{5-Hearts} and Lo checked to Hellmuth, who continued for 500,000. Lo called and they saw the {q-Diamonds} turn.

Hellmuth this time bet 800,000. Lo paused for a moment before announcing he was all in.

"This f**king guy. He plays every big blind. He's beaten me every pot the last two days," Hellmuth said as he shot up from his chair.

"Just relax Phil. He's going to give you all his money," Hellmuth continued before he eventually mucked. Lo remained silent while he took in the pot.

Onur Unsal Eliminated in 7th Place ($81,390)

Nível 32 : 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante
Onur Unsal
Onur Unsal

David Jackson opened to 600,000 from the cutoff and Onur Unsal called in the big blind. Unsal check-called a bet of 550,000 on the {9-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} flop before both players checked the {9-Clubs} turn.

Unsal then emptied the clip for 3,000,000 on the {3-Diamonds} river and was snap-called. Unsal knew he was beat and could only show his {q-Clubs}{8-Hearts} for queen high. Jackson had the same hand, but they were diamonds, so his {q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} had rivered a flush.

David Jackson raised to 600,000 from the button and was called by Phil Hellmuth in the big blind.

Hellmuth checked dark as the flop came {10-Spades}{6-Hearts}{5-Hearts}. Jackson checked behind and they saw the {9-Hearts} turn. Hellmuth led out for 700,000 and Jackson, staring down Hellmuth, called after some deliberation.

The river was the {4-Diamonds} and Hellmuth assembled another bet of 1,200,000. Jackson quickly called.

"Good call," Hellmuth said, turning over {k-Spades}{j-Clubs}. Jackson flipped over {q-Diamonds}{5-Spades} for a pair of fives to take the pot.

Hellmuth Sends Bruschi Into the Tank

Nível 32 : 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante

In a limped pot, Renan Bruschi and Phil Hellmuth saw a flop of {7-Spades}{9-Spades}{k-Diamonds}. Bruschi bet 300,000 and Hellmuth raised to 700,000.

Bruschi called and they both checked down the {j-Diamonds} on the turn. The river came the {10-Clubs} and Bruschi checked again.

Hellmuth this time put out 1,400,000 as Bruschi went deep into the tank, taking off his sunglasses and talking to Hellmuth in an attempt to extract any information. Hellmuth sat motionless, his hands clasped over his mouth, while he looked straight ahead.

"Okay, show the bluff," Bruschi said after several minutes, sliding his cards back to the dealer. Hellmuth didn't show as he collected the pot.

2022 WSOP Featured Females: Meet Wendeen Eolis, 1st Woman to Ever Cash Main Event

Nível 32 : 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante
Wendeen Eolis
Wendeen Eolis

In the mid 1980’s, women were considered no factor in the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event, and other than the famous rounder and professional gambler Thomas “Amarillo Slim” Preston, poker players rarely made headlines in the mainstream press. That all changed when Wendeen Eolis became the first woman to cash at poker’s “Big Dance.”

In the 1986 WSOP Main Event, Eolis battled some of the best players in the world, including Amarillo Slim, in a field of 141 runners. She was on her way to a 25th-place finish for a $10,000, return on her buy-in, and permanent bragging rights as the first woman in history to cash in the WSOP Main Event.

Eolis attributes her 1986 WSOP performance to a year of poker tutoring from one of the best, a “relatively” conservative game plan, and cooperative cards. She told PokerNews, “Even today, women can win more by bluffing less than men.”

Renan Bruschi Eliminated in 6th Place ($107,472)

Nível 32 : 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante
Renan Bruschi
Renan Bruschi

David Jackson opened to 600,000 from under the gun before Renan Bruschi made it 1,050,000 from middle position. Jackson jammed as the big stack and was snap-called.

Renan Bruschi: {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}
David Jackson: {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades}

Bruschi was on the right side of it until the {k-Hearts}{j-Spades}{8-Hearts} flop gave Jackson a set of kings. The {7-Diamonds} turn was a brick and the {3-Hearts} river confirmed Bruschi's elimination.

The five remaining players have now moved on to the feature table inside Bally's Event Center.

Nível 33 : 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante

Timothy Sullivan shoved for his last 1,925,000 from under the gun. Justin Saliba then re-shoved for 3,500,000 in the small blind as Jeffrey Lo asked for a count before eventually folding.

Timothy Sullivan: {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
Justin Saliba: {k-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}

The board ran out {5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{8-Clubs}{a-Clubs} as Sullivan made two pair, aces and fives, on the river to double up and leave Saliba on a short stack.
