Reilly Gets Value

Nível 7 : 400/800, 800 ante

Ness Reilly raised in the hijack to 1,900 and Brittany Williams three-bet on the button to 5,000. It came back to Reilly who called.

Both checked on a flop {7-Spades}{q-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} and a {3-Hearts} paired the board on the turn. Reilly sent a bet of 5,000 and Williams tanked a minute before calling.

On the {3-Clubs} river, Reilly fired 12,000 and Williams ended up calling, but only to muck when she saw {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} in Reilly's hand for the full house.

2022 WSOP Featured Females: Meet Wendeen Eolis, 1st Woman to Ever Cash Main Event

Nível 7 : 400/800, 800 ante
Wendeen Eolis
Wendeen Eolis

In the mid 1980’s, women were considered no factor in the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event, and other than the famous rounder and professional gambler Thomas “Amarillo Slim” Preston, poker players rarely made headlines in the mainstream press. That all changed when Wendeen Eolis became the first woman to cash at poker’s “Big Dance.”

In the 1986 WSOP Main Event, Eolis battled some of the best players in the world, including Amarillo Slim, in a field of 141 runners. She was on her way to a 25th-place finish for a $10,000, return on her buy-in, and permanent bragging rights as the first woman in history to cash in the WSOP Main Event.

Eolis attributes her 1986 WSOP performance to a year of poker tutoring from one of the best, a “relatively” conservative game plan, and cooperative cards. She told PokerNews, “Even today, women can win more by bluffing less than men.”

Bricknell Takes From Foxen

Nível 7 : 400/800, 800 ante

The board read {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} with 4,800 in the middle.

Kristen Foxen bet 1,600 for Michelle Bricknell to raise it up to 3,700. Foxen made the call.

The river completed the board with the {8-Spades} for both players to check. Bricknell showed the {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} for two pair, aces and eights, to claim the pot as Foxen mucked her hand.

Michelle Loses Chunk of Her Stack in Two Hands

Nível 7 : 400/800, 800 ante
Tiffany Michelle
Tiffany Michelle

Tiffany Michelle had just lost a big pot worth 85,000 when she raised from the late position and Juliana Vidal three-bet from further down the table. Michelle four-bet for Vidal to five-bet shove after tanking for a while.

Juliana Vidal: {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}
Tiffany Michelle: {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}

The board ran out {7-Spades}{5-Spades}{q-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} for Vidal to river the set to double up with.

A few hands later, the flop read {j-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{8-Hearts} with what looked to be around 5,000 in the middle. Tambra Dunams bet 2,000 from the hijack and Michelle raised it up to 4,000 from the cutoff which Dunams called.

The turn was the {9-Diamonds} and Dunams check-called the 3,500 continuation-bet of Michelle.

The {a-Hearts} completed the board. Dunams checked and Michelle did the same by revealing the {k-Diamonds}{j-Spades} for the flopped top pair. Dunams glanced over and then took a second or two before revealing the {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} for the higher pair of queens and the pot.
