Lucky River Sees Kamp Eliminate an Opponent

Nível 9 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

One player had bet 7,100 with 21,000 behind on a {q-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{k-Hearts} board and Dannah Kamp had raised enough to put her opponent all in.

Her opponent called with {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts} having turned a flush and Kamp showed {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}. The river {7-Hearts} saw Kamp complete a better flush and send her opponent to the rail.

Kamp is looking for another deep WSOP run after finishing 13th in the 2021 WSOP Monster Stack for $41,026. Check out her interview with PokerNews from last year below!

Navarro Wins her Flip

Nível 9 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

The player in the hijack raised to 2,700 and Lucia Navarro three-bet from the cutoff before the button quickly shoved. The initial player folded but Navarro called all in for a total stack worth 38,000.

Lucia Navarro: {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}
Opponent: {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}

Navarro had to win the flip for her tournament's life, which she did after the board ran out {k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{2-Spades}, giving her a pair of kings on the flop.

Nível 9 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Neiasha Russell open-shoved in the hijack for her last 18,000 with {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs} and after some thinking, the big blind decided to call with {a-Spades}{10-Hearts}.

Russell had the dominating hand and the board gave {7-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} to give her trips and the needed double up.

Craigie Flops a Straight; Turns a Better One

Nível 9 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

It checked to Kerryjane Craigie on a {10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} flop and she bet 6,200. One opponent called and the pair both checked the {j-Clubs} turn.

The river was the {5-Spades} and again it checked to Craigie who bet 7,300. Her opponent check-called but was shown the bad news when Craigie tabled {8-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} for a straight.

Freitas Looks to Build with Snowmen

Nível 9 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Anna Freitas opened to 3,200 and called a shove for her opponent's last 10,500.

All-in Player: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}
Anna Freitas: {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}

The {k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{3-Hearts} runout saw Freitas spike an eight on the turn to crack the aces of her opponent, sending her to the rail.

"Whenever I have eights against aces like that," Freitas told her table, "I always sing that song. You know - 'Do you want to build a snowman?' and I always get an eight."

Meanwhile at her table, Bea Berman sits with around 125,000 chips next to Spanish bracelet winner Leo Margets.
