Russell was ahead, but that changed quickly when the flop gave both of his opponents top pair. The 
turn was of no help to Russell, who was drawing to a two outer to make a set of nines in order to stay alive in the tournament. He managed to hit a miracle on the river, giving him a set and the best hand. He raked in the pot, tripling his stack.
Another player at the table claimed to have folded the , although others around the table said they were uncertain if they should believe him. If true, Russell was drawing even thinner than previously thought.
