Paris Casino had 3,209 hopefuls play 17 levels yesterday, with 498 players returning in Event #54: $500 Salute to Warriors No-Limit Hold'em at the 2022 World Series of Poker for Day 2. Of those, 482 will make the money and see a return on investment on their buy-in, with 1st place paying our eventual winner $161,256 and of course a World Series of Poker bracelet.
There will be more great veteran stories to be heard today, as the tournament itself donates a percentage of each buy-in to charities than aid those affected by war, who all need support in some way. Shaun Colquhoun is just one of those players highlighted yesterday who's still in with a shot at the title.

Texas native Jimmy Rogers is one of many military veterans competing in the charitable Salute to Warriors bracelet event at the 2022 World Series of Poker, and he's passionate about supporting the troops.
Poker pro Ray Henson, his friend, flew the US Navy vet out to Las Vegas to compete in the $500 buy-in no-limit hold'em tournament, which kicked off Sunday at Paris. PokerNews caught up with the amateur poker player on the Day 1 dinner break to discuss a charity he runs called Boots for Troops.
With action on Melanie Weisner, she was forced all in and had the clock called on her. She ended up calling with versus

Day 27 of the 2022 World Series of Poker saw the start of the ever-popular $1,000 Tag Team - with the likes of Veronica Brill, K.L. Cleaton, Ben Spragg, Andrew Neeme, and more all getting involved in the action early on.
Elsewhere, more bracelet winners were crowned as Brazil's Joao Simao celebrated his second piece of WSOP hardware in the $5,000 No-Limit Holdem/Pot-Limit Omaha Mix.
Scott Ayers and Mackenzie Horwitz are the bubble people of Event #54.
PokerNews caught Horwitz's hand, where he was all in under the gun for his last 6,000 and was three-ways against two opponents on a flop of .
The other two players got their money in too and Horwitz's was in bad shape against the
and
of his opponents and was eliminated as the board ran out
and
. The second shortest stack had the flopped boat and thus doubled through the other player.
Mackenzie, known as Mac was playing for his brother, a veteran who sadly passed at 40 years old. The Alaskan native said he's so happy he got to cash, even if it's for $400, to play his first ever event in his brother's memory.
In another hand, Scott Ayers was eliminated also and thus will chop the min-cash with Horwitz and also receive $400.
All remaining players are now in the money.
