Srini Vasan opened the action from early position to 2,500,000, which was only called by Brandon Cantu in the big blind.

The flop came {8-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}. Cantu checked over to Vasan who bet 4,000,000. Cantu made the call.

On the {4-Hearts} turn both players checked. The river came the {k-Spades} with Cantu checking once again. Vasan quickly checked back. Cantu turned over {7-Clubs}{5-Clubs} for the turned nut-straight, but was disappointed in himself for not betting.

"Damnit, I'm the worst", said Cantu jokingly while he dragged in the pot.

Thach Calls Sowers Flop Jam

Nível 33 : 300,000/600,000, 600,000 ante
Mike Sowers
Mike Sowers

With around 2,000,000 in the middle on the flop of {7-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}, Mike Sowers made a bet to 1,300,000 from the small blind.

Michael Thach raised it up to 5,500,000 in the cutoff.

Sowers only took a few seconds before jamming, and the dealer tossed an all in chip in front of him. After some thought, Thach committed nearly all of his stack for the call, and was ahead. Sowers however, had a monster draw.

Mike Sowers: {8-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Michael Thach: {q-Hearts}{q-Spades}

It was the {6-Clubs} for a turn, and Thach made two pair, but Sowers had many outs to pull ahead.

The moment the {a-Spades} appeared on the river, Thach jumped from his seat and clapped his hands. Sowers had missed his straight and flush draws, and Thach's two pair eliminated Sowers from the tournament.

"Yes!!", Thach exclaimed, stepping away from the table to take a few breaths before the next hand.
