Shulman's Pain is Roshkovan's Pleasure

Nível 21 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Jeff Shulman
Jeff Shulman

After an early position player made it 60,000 to go, Jeff Shulman shipped in his remaining 180,000. Victoria Roshkovan was next to shove, for less than Shulman, and the original raiser asked for a count before tossing in a call.

Victoria Roshkovan: {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Jeff Shulman: {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}
Original Raiser: {a-Spades}{3-Spades}

The {8-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{4-Clubs} was a good one for Shulman to keep his pair in front. The turn {6-Hearts} was clean for Shulman, but the {10-Hearts} peeled off on the river to send Roshkovan the main pot, and leave Shulman back where he started with the side pot.

Updated Stacks and Those No Longer Seated

Nível 20 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Rodgers Versus Yu In 2.75m Pot For Chip Leader

Nível 20 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Action started with a raise from Jeffrey Rodgers from under the gun to 75,000. Middle position then three-bet to 250,000. Gio Yu decided to play for stacks from the button, pushing all in for slightly over 1 million, and Rodgers re-jammed for 1,25 million. Middle position thought for a minute, before folding {a-Spades}{k-Clubs} face up.

Gio Yu: {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}
Jeffrey Rodgers: {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}

Yu was at risk, behind, and had both suits covered by Rodgers. He was drawing to two hard outs as the flop ran out {4-Spades}{j-Clubs}{2-Hearts}.

The turn offered no help with a {6-Hearts}, and Yu was left with one card to keep his tournament hopes alive.

The river fell {3-Diamonds}, and Rodgers effectively doubled up with the dead money, raking in a massive pot to catapult him to chip leader whilst Yu was eliminated in 425th place.

Break Time

Nível 19 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Players are on their final 20-minute break of the night.

The remaining 513 players will play three more levels before bagging up for the night.

Dao Drills the River in Massive Three-Way All-in

Nível 19 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

A huge pot was brewing over at Table 489 and Oscar Dao found himself in the middle of it as he and two other players had their chips in the middle and cards on their back preflop.

Short Stack: {k-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}
Oscar Dao: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}
Big Stack: {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}

The flop {9-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} drew oohs and ahhs from the table as Dao picked up the nut flush draw.

The {6-Spades} turn changed nothing and Dao was still looking for an ace, king, or diamond. The river {k-Hearts} delivered just what he needed to drag the massive pot.

"Banger on the river," said one of Dao's tablemates.

Mckellar's Bet Gets Through

Nível 19 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Entering the action on the {9-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{k-Clubs} board. Pierce Mckellar bet 250,000. The opponent on the button thought for a while before another player called the floor in which he folded shortly after as Mckellar scooped in his chips.

Ace Jack Gets Butchered

Nível 19 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Sam Butcher took the offensive and open-shoved from the hijack for 288,000 preflop. Action folded to the big blind, who called it off.

Sam Butcher: {k-Hearts}{5-Clubs}
Big Blind: {a-Spades}{j-Hearts}

The initial flop of {6-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{9-Clubs} offered little help, and Butcher still had 6 outs to catch.

The {3-Hearts} turn opened things up, giving him the straight draw, and the {2-Spades} on the river completed the board, giving Butcher a full double up.
