Diaz's Flop Raise Takes Down Five-Handed Pot

Nível 2 : 200/300, 300 ante

The under-the-gun player led out for 600 and the player to his left called. Action folded to Roger Diaz in the cutoff, who also called. The button and big blind flatted as well, making it five players to the flop, which came {10-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}.

A continuation bet from the under-the-gun player came in to the tune of 1,100. His immediate left again called, bringing action back to Diaz. After a moment, he tossed in a red 5,000 chip and announced his raise to 4,500. This barrel was too large for the rest of the table, as all four players quickly folded, giving Diaz a nice early pot.

The board read {7-Spades}{7-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} after the turn with 4,100 already in the pot. The heads-up action began with Randy Marker in the small blind, who led out for 2,300. His opponent in the hijack quickly called.

The river came {9-Hearts} and Marker fired another barrel, this time 4,000. After a moment of thought, his opponent called.

Marker showed the bad news, turning over {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}. A few seconds later, the hijack showed his losing hand, {k-}{k-}.

Braxton's Setting the Pace Early in the Day

Nível 1 : 100/200, 200 ante

On a board of {k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{q-Spades} Terrance ''Black Dog'' Braxton bet 7,000 into a pot of 9,000 from the big blind against the under-the-gun player. His opponent ended up letting his hand go and Braxton turned over his {10-}{10-} for the set, the win, and a medium-sized pot to kick things off today.

Nível 1 : 100/200, 200 ante

With the board reading {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} at the turn, the small blind checked to Bennett Westmoreland in the big blind who fired 3,000, which was called.

The {6-Spades} river paired the board, which did not deter Westmoreland as he again bet 3,000. His opponent called and revealed {10-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} for a straight. Westmoreland tabled {10-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} for a flush and scooped in an early pot.
