Morciano Doubles Through Brunner

Nível 33 : 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante

Brian Brunner opened to 650,000 in the hijack and Biagio Morciano re-raised to 1,200,000 in the cutoff. The action folded back to Brunner who shoved all in. Morciano thought for a moment before calling off his stack of 4,525,000.

Biagio Morciano: {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}
Brian Brunner: {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}

It was a coin flip and the flop of {7-Spades}{7-Clubs}{6-Hearts} left Morciano in the lead. The {2-Diamonds} and {3-Hearts} runout changed nothing and Morciano clapped his hands together as he scored a double up.

The action folded around to Steven Himebaugh in the small blind who ripped all in for around 3,300,000. Brian Brunner looked down at his cards in the big blind and snap-called with a monster.

Steven Himebaugh: {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}
Brian Brunner: {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}

The flop of {7-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{4-Spades} gave Himebaugh a few extra outs with a straight draw and the {9-Diamonds} on the turn increased those outs even more. However, the {4-Hearts} paired the board on the river and Brunner's aces held on to eliminate Himebaugh in 15th place.

John Fones
John Fones

Ben Sarnoff opened to 600,000 in early position and Steven Himebaugh three-bet to 1,700,000 on his left. John Fones was on the button and asked if he could stand up before shoving all in for 1,825,000. Both Sarnoff and Himebaugh called to create action in a side pot.

The flop fell {8-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{2-Hearts} and Sarnoff check-called a bet of 1,400,000 from Himebaugh. The {k-Diamonds} landed on the turn and both players checked to the {9-Diamonds} on the river.

Sarnoff led out with a bet of 2,500,000 which put Himebaugh in the tank for over three minutes. He eventually laid his hand down, giving the side pot to Sarnoff.

Sarnoff flipped over {9-Hearts}{7-Hearts} for two pair while Fones could only muster {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} for a pair of tens. Sarnoff also collected the main pot and Fones was sent to the rail.

Valerii Lubenets
Valerii Lubenets

Valerii Lubenets came into the day with less than a single big blind but managed to nearly quadruple up on the very first hand. However, on the next hand, the action folded to Kathy Liebert in the small blind who shoved all in. Lubenets called off his stack of around 600,000 in the big blind and the cards were tabled.

Valerii Lubenets: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}
Kathy Liebert: {q-Hearts}{6-Clubs}

The flop came {q-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{5-Hearts} and Liebert took the lead with a pair of queens. The {8-Hearts} on the turn and the {5-Clubs} on the river provided no help to Lubenets who was eliminated early in the day.
