Weng Flops the Joint

Nível 9 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Jon Weng opened to 2,500 from middle position and received a single call from the button.

Weng led out for 3,000 on a flop of {10-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} and his opponent responded with a raise to 8,500. Far from discouraged, Weng moved all in and was snapped off by the larger stack to put him at risk.

Jon Weng: {q-Spades}{j-Spades}
Button Player: {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}

The flop had created a massive cooler, with Weng holding the stone cold nuts while his opponent held the fourth nuts. Though he was ahead, Weng could still lose if the board paired. That did not happen on the {a-Clubs} turn or {3-Clubs} river, handing a crucial double to Weng.

An's Rockets Send Out Two

Nível 9 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

The player under the gun moved all in for his last 12,000 pre-flop. The player in the cutoff then re-shoved for 16,000.

On the button, Jinpyo An called both all ins.

Under the Gun Player: {k-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}
Cutoff: {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs}
Jinpyo An: {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}

Facing two all ins ahead of him, An had woken up with pocket aces and was a big favorite to secure the double knockout.

The board ran out {4-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}, no help to either all-in player as An received a round of "nice hand" from the rest of his surviving tablemates.

Leguizamon Picks Up a Hand

Nível 9 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

After the player under the gun raised to 2,500 and received a call, a player in middle position re-raised all in for his last 15,000.

On the button, David Leguizamon re-shoved and the under-the-gun player folded quickly. The original caller gave the decision some thought before also folding.

All-In Player: {a-Clubs}{j-Spades}
David Leguizamon: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}

Leguizamon had his opponent dominated and held as the board ran out {10-Spades}{8-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{7-Clubs}, raking in his opponent's stack plus a few extra chips.

Drief Flops the World to Eliminate Opponent

Nível 9 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

On a board reading {5-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{3-Spades} Idris Drief from middle position was involved in a heads-up pot with a player in late position. Drief checked to his opponent, who moved all in. Wasting no time, Drief made the call.

Late Position Player: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}
Idris Drief: {7-Hearts}{6-Hearts}

Drief had flopped an absolute monster, with a straight flush draw to go along with his made nut straight. By contrast his opponent, who was at risk, was drawing dead to an improbable chop. The {5-Diamonds} turn sealed the deal for Drief with the meaningless {k-} river rubbing some salt into the wound of the eliminated player.

Hinkle Wins a Flip

Nível 10 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Blair Hinkle was all in for his last 22,000 from the hijack and was up against an opponent on the button.

Button: {a-}{k-}
Blair Hinkle: {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}

Hinkle's opponent failed to connect with the {j-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{j-Hearts}{9-Spades} board as the bracelet winner's pocket eights stayed in front. The stacks were counted down and Hinkle barely had his opponent covered.

"Good luck. I would rather give it to you," the eliminated player said as he and Hinkle shook hands.

Ladies Hold For Golani

Nível 10 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

A player in middle position shoved and action folded to Jason Golani on the button who re-jammed with the bigger stack. The blinds got out of the way and the middle position player was officially at risk.

Middle Position Player: {a-Clubs}{5-Spades}
Jason Golani: {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}

Golani was far ahead of his opponent but the {10-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{q-Clubs} flop, while improving Golani to top set, also gave his opponent the nut flush draw. That draw did not come in, however, on the {6-Spades} turn or {8-Spades} river, sending a sizable pot Golani's way and forcing his opponent out of the tournament.

Weng Stacks Huge, Chip Leader Emerges

Nível 10 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Bin Weng, already sitting with a massive stack in front of him, raised pre-flop from middle position and received a call from the player in the small blind.

The flop came {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{a-Clubs} and Weng continued for another 2,000. The small blind called, then led out for 6,000 on the {k-Spades} turn.

Weng raised to 12,000 and the small blind moved all in for her last 20,000. Weng snap-called and showed {9-Spades}{7-Clubs} for trip nines, while his opponent had {a-Spades}{6-Hearts}.

The river came the {5-Clubs} and Weng added more to his towering stack.

At another table, Todd Barney has accumulated more than 300,000 chips and is the largest stack in the Paris Ballroom, while Rex Clinkscales, the beneficiary of a double up earlier, is approaching 200,000.
